The boys next door

John's POV

Me and Julie decided to go to the movies at the mall while everyone else was eating.

It took me a lot of courage to ask her out to the movies.

And I do mean a lot of courage. I mean it took some courage just to kiss this girls hand. I don't know what's gotten into me.

We picked the movie called RED. I learned that she doesn't like scary movies that much which is cool with me. I just wish that we will have a long time to enjoy this movie. Maybe when this is over we will try and catch another movie or get something to eat.

As we walked towards the concession stand a girl came up to Julie and started talking to her. I look at Julie as she talks to this girl and then turn to me.

"Hello there. What's your name miss." I said and kissed the girls hand.

"Oh my name is Alexis." The girl said and giggled.

From the corner of my eyes I saw Julie looking at me weird. I let go of the girls hand.

"Nice to meet you. So Julie do you want anything for the movie?" I asked as I looked in her eyes which were the most unique colors of light blue and a dark gray. You would have to just gaze in her eyes to see the colors with in.

"Um I'll have popcorn and water." She said and looked up at me.

"Okay, when your done talking to your friend I'll be waiting for you by the movie entrance." I said and started to walk in line.

As I'm waiting in the short line a girl probably in her 20's turned around and started to make a conversation with me.

"So heeeelllllllloooooo there stranger." She said stretching out the hello for emphasis.

"Hi." I said and looked at her.

"So do you have a girlfriend?" She asked me.

"Yes ma'am." I said and walked up in line as it moved up.

"Oh I don't see her around so you must be making excuses to not talk to me. Your really cute and you can always leave that so called girlfriend for a woman like me." She said and smiled at me.

"Ummm miss not to be rude but you look older than me so can you please leave me alone with the little dignity that you have left. I'm on a date and I don't think she would like this. And I stay faithful because there is no need to cheat when she's everything." I said trying to cover it up so she would leave me alone.

I mean Julie's not my girlfriend but I would like to see if we could be more than friends. But this lady doesn't need to know my personal life.

"So she's here right now...I wanna meet her." the lady said to me with a grin on her face.

I didnt like how this lady was trying to hit on me for all I know she was maybe a stalker! I looked at the stranger.

"Um I dont know, since I dont know you its kind of wierd to introduce you to her." I said and walked even more as we made it to the front of the line.

"Oh I'm Shella and your's?" She asked as she looked at me.

"I'm-" I didnt get a chance to finish as the cashier asked what can he get her. I looked at her turn around and order popcorn and soda. I turned around to see Julie telling her friend bye and walking towards me.

I turned back around to look at this lady, Sh- something I forgot her name but she needs to leave me alone.

"So whats your name?" She says with her popcorn in left hand and soda in the other hand, walking over to the left so she won't be in the way as I order my things.

"Hey John!" Julie said and looked at me.

"Hey!" I said and looked at Julie.

"Hello you must be this guys girl-" Shella didnt get a chance to finish.

"Julie what did you want from here again?" I asked.

"Water and popcorn please." Julie said and looked up at me.

"Okay." I said and ordered them for her and some gummy bears because she looks like the kind of girl to want them. I picked up the popcorn and put the gummy bear box in my pocket and grabbed our drinks, her water in my left hand and my drink in my forearm as my right hand holds the popcorn. I paid that girl no mind as I started walking to the theater with Julie with our snacks.

When we walked into the movie theater I picked the seats all the way in the back but in the middle. I looked at Julie to see if she wanted a different seat but she seemed Okay with where we're sitting.

I looked at her as the previews went on since we are early.

"Julie, I like you!" I blurted, so she could hear.

I looked at her. She looked at me with some look I couldn't tell what she was thinking.

"I like you too. You seem sweet." Julie said but it felt like she was holding back on something.

"But what is it? Please tell me." I said fast.

"You flirt to much!" Julie said as she flung her arms up in the air then looked away.

"I am sorry if it seems like I flirt too much but my dad taught me before he died, when I was little. He told me be a gentle men even if you don't like them, to be proud of my heritage and to not be ashamed and since I'm not I guess I take things a little over board and I'm sorry." I said looking at her. She turned around and looked at me then out of no where she kisses my cheek. I look at her then notice how the lights started to go out and the movie started.
