Okay, so I'm kinda in love with this chapter. And the house 😍

~Skylar's POV~

I groaned as I was being bounced around in someone's arms. I tried to turn over, to get an idea of where I was or who was carrying me, but it was all resolved when I heard Seto's voice.

"Shh. Go back to sleep babe, we're almost home." I nodded and shivered once the cold air hit my arms and legs.

"Why aren't we in the car?" I was still tired, but now that I'm cold... I can't go back to sleep. "The windows were broken in. Rocks were thrown at them during the storm."

"That sucks. How do you know where we're going? It's so... So..." "Dark?" "Yeah. That word." I heard him chuckle and then he lightly tossed me in the air to get me situated again.

"I can walk." "No, you hit your head pretty hard. I tried to get you to walk earlier, but you fell and complained about being dizzy." I once again nodded.

"How long until we get there? I'm cold." I heard him sigh, and now that I think of it. I was being pretty annoying.

"Not long. I would have called someone to come pick us up, but no one wanted to leave tonight. I had to get us home though, since we have to watch cooper in the morning. You're definitely not going to work tomorrow." "I'm fine though! Wait, where's Becca?"

I opened my eyes slightly, seeing house lights in the distance. "She's with Mitch and the others. They stayed in the shelter tonight. Somebody's going to go get them in the morning." I started to roll off his arms once we reached the front porch, but he quickly grabbed me again when I almost fell.

"What will your mom think?" Wrapping my arms around his waist as he started to knock on the door, was both a good and bad idea. My legs weren't quite awake yet, so I was relying on my arms to keep me up, but then when he moved over a tiny bit I almost collapsed.

"Skye!" Seto quickly grabbed onto me, chuckling slightly when he saw my eyes were closed. "Come on." He lifted me up bridal style again, waiting for one of his parents to come open the door.

"They could be asleep." "Nah, their lights are on. But they aren't expecting us here right now. Our apartment was too far away, so I came here instead." I grabbed onto his jacket and buried my head against his chest.

"Scott. Open the door." "Why don't you?" "You're already at the door!" His parents muffled voices came through the crack in the door. "Come on mother. We're freezing." "It's Seto?" The door opened only two seconds later, and his mother gasped when she saw us.

"Oh you poor things. Get in here!" She pulled Seto in, and led us to the couch. "What are you doing here so late? It's like 1 A.M.!" "Tornado. Down at the field. We had to stay in the shelter. Your house was closer." He set me down on the couch, before falling in the chair next to it.

"Oh my god. Scott! I told you there was something wrong. Poor babies." "Mom." I heard Seto say back annoyed, but she wasn't listening. She was too busy checking us for fevers and getting us things.

"You're burning up." She took her hand off my head, and then did the same to Seto's. "You're fine. Do you need anything honey?" She kneeled next to me, and I just shook my head. "I'll get you two some blankets. If you want, there's the spare bedroom that you guys were staying in last month." Seto stood up from the chair, his back popping as he did so.

"We got it mom, thank you. We might need you to wake us up in the morning, we need a ride back to our apartment. The cars windows got smashed in." She nodded once again, before leaving the room, turning a couple lights off on the way.
