1 month. That's all I had left with her. I was determined to make the last month the best, but I don't want to rial everything up, and then leave it all just a memory. (Thnks Fr Th Mmrs, Hrvy)
"What do you want to do? Pick anything, and we'll do it." "Not let you leave." She muttered and I wanted to laugh, but I didn't. "I really hope you don't mean that in a creepy way..." She sniffled and turned away from me.
"Aw, love come here. I'm sorry." It was killing me inside. Of course I didn't want to leave her, but I was going to have to go at least once. I can't drop out on the last minute.
"Just think. I'll be back in a few months." "Unless you get sent to war." She muttered against my chest. "Yeah, just don't think about it, and it might not happen. It's very unlikely." She nodded.
"So in all honesty, what do you want to do?" "I want to go to a concert, with you." I chuckled, but only after hearing her laugh herself. I was going to miss hearing it in person.
"We could go to France. I've always wanted to go to Paris. OOH! You said you'd take me to England. Take me to England." She giggled at herself and jumped up.
"How about when I get back. That way we aren't rushed into going and then coming back." She sighed and agreed. "The second you get back, we're going though." I nodded.
"The second I get back. Even if you're in class, I'll just come in and take you away. They won't even see it coming." "Well, neither will I." I smiled and rubbed my hand against her arm.
"Oh god. I'm going to miss it." She looked up at me confused. "I'm going to miss it. Oh, great." I slapped my forehead, and she raised an eyebrow at me.
"December. Us. 1 year?" Her eyes widened and she frowned. "Oh." We were both quiet for a moment, until she spoke up.
"We can celebrate when you get back..." "Or before I leave. I'm going to take to you to dinner before I leave. And that will be counted as it. Ok?" She nodded and leaned back against my side.
"Don't forget I still have to get things for my college dorm. Then we have the going away party for Nikki, Cherri, and whoever else was leaving." I blew air through my nose and shook my head.
"A lots going to happen." We didn't say anything until she sat up and grabbed my hand. "Let's go shopping for the dorm things. We... We can get things set up there now? Maybe... They gave me the key already." I smiled and nodded.
"That's fine. Wanna go now?" She nodded and got up, heading to go get ready. I sighed loudly after she was gone, and ran a hand through my hair.
I couldn't bear to tell her that we were already issued to be sent to war after a week of training. This wasn't going to be fun, the whole idea wasn't. So why on earth did I sign up for this?
"Ready?" "Yeah." I pulled myself up, grabbing her outstretched hand. Her smile was genuine, and it killed me. She doesn't know the truth, and won't for another month and a half. I can't tell her straight away.
We spent at least two hours shopping for everything for her dorm, one hour of that time just testing different furniture pieces out. "My chair is so comfy." Her voice was muffled since the chair basically enclosed around her.
"Yeah, I wanna try. Move!" I pulled her out and sat in it, sinking down. All I could see was fuzzy chair. Skylar then sat on my lap, tucking her legs up to her chest, and wrapped her arms around me.
"I'm bored." I nodded and ran my fingers through her hair. "So am I. You were the one that wanted to decorate your dorm." I nudged her and chuckled.
