Chapter 17: Evening time

Back at the motel, Greenwing was watching the news. "Window, please tell me. Why is this place....different?" Suddenly, he heard the news reporter say "and now we have the lady who was attacked by this wild cat. Tell me, Nightbat. What does it feel like that this cat survived?" Nightbat joyfully responded with "Amazing! Sharkfin is my cousin and-" then, Greenwing saw Vibrant take Nightbat back to his apartment, but he thought he was capturing her, so he said "WHAT IS THIS VILLAINY?!"  the news reporter kept telling everyone about the story, then Greenwing asked the TV "Window, I'm begging you! Where is she?!" The news reporter then said "400 downtown-" Greenwing said "400 down town!" Then he hugged the TV and said "thank you window." He then kissed the TV and he ran off to look for Nightbat. Back at the apartment, Nightbat was ticking Sarah into bed, but while she was doing that, she was telling Sarah a story. Nightbat then asked gently, "So....where you scared of what happened tonight?" Sarah responded with "a little." She then asked "Will Sharkfin be ok?" Nightbat then said "oh I know it. Sharkfin is super brave. I remember this one time Sharkfin was walking, when he saw a werewolf being chased by a vampire and he had a gun! I dunno what would have happened if he didn't see it." Sarah was a little confused and she said "I don't remember werewolves and vampires being enemies...." Nightbat then said "that's because no one ever puts it in books." Sarah then smiled and said "thanks for the story." Nightbat then hugged Sarah and she said "G'night Sarah." Then, the left the room and turned off the light. Meanwhile with Greenwing, he was looking for the apartment complex, then he turned around, saw it, and he ran towards it excited. When he saw a security guard go, he entered the building and he went to the top floor. The first door he went seemed confident. So he knocked on it, expecting Nightbat to answer, but instead, a family, a light blue fox and a dark purple fox with one kid to be specific, came out. Greenwing smiled, then frowned. The light blue fox then said "Get out." Greenwing said "sorry bout that." He then ran and knocked on the next door, but a blue fox came out holding an actual cat. The cat growled at Greenwing. He got startled. But then the cat hissed at Greenwing, but Greenwing hissed at it back. Greenwing then went to the next door, but her heard a dog barking, so he ran to the next door and he knocked on it. He was ready to give up. The one who answered the door was a bird in a tuxedo and top hat. When he saw Greenwing, he smiled and gave a thumbs up. Greenwing smiled at him and he winked. Then he found a corner, sat in it, and said "Nightbat, Nightbat, where are you Nightbat......" He was close to giving up on finding her.
