Weeks and months flew by and there was still no sign of Nick. I truly thought that he was gone forever. I was stuck here all alone with no one to make me laugh or make me feel better. I was all alone.
At first, everyone was talking about him. They were saying horrible things like, "He probably got arrested" or "They took him because he killed someone".
First of all, he was one of the nicest people in school. It made me wonder as to why they would say that. All of these rumors just made me feel worst about the whole situation.
Without Nick, Nathaniel started to torment me again. He pushed me into the lockers on the hallways and call me names while trying to impress his friends.
On one occasion, he slam me into the lockers and said "You're so ugly, Hello Kitty said goodbye to you". All of his friends laughed with him. Then he continued to insult me, "It looks like your face caught on fire and someone tried to put it out with a fork."
I was used to this. It was just part of highschool right?
After six whole months, everyone started to forget about Nick. His name wasn't even mentioned in the creepy bathrooms or throughput the hallways. It was like he never existed.
One night, I stayed very late at school because I was doing this boring project by myself since everyone in my group were assholes and I was always the person who had to make up all the work.
I stayed there for an hour at least. When the project was done, it was already night. The janitor, who stays in the school for long hours told me that it was time for me to go.
I nodded and exited the building. My phone was dead so I couldn't call my mom to pick me up. It was ten PM and I was walking down the street all by myself.
The street was empty except for this mysterious van that was slowly approaching me.
I was getting suspicious so I increased the speed of my walking.
Then the van stopped besides me and someone opened the door and grabbed me.
"Let me go!" I screamed. I was resisting, but the guy was too strong. I was terrified (I'm positive I peed my pants).
Next thing you know, I started to get this weird feeling in my body. I felt this urge to attack back. It was the weirdest feeling I've experienced.
The guy went to grab my right arm but when he tried to, this huge ball of air came out of my hand and pushed the guy back making him hit his head.
I stared at my arm with disbelief. What just happened?! Did I have superpowers? What was going on?
I couldn't stand there and think because the guys were still there. So I started running as fast as I could towards my house.
When I got home, my mom and dad were sitting in the living room.
"What happened?" asked my mom when she noticed my tattered shirt.
"Who did this to you?" asked my dad.
"I was just walking home when this van started following me. Two men tried to take me." I told them.
My mom covered her mouth with her hand. She was shocked.
"Oh my God! Are you okay though? We need to tell the police about this!" My mom said.
"Let's wait until tomorrow morning, it's too late now." My dad said.
Why wait? Why did my dad say that we needed to wait until the morning? What was going on?
My mom stood up from the couch and helped me clean up. She then told me to go upstairs and rest.
I didn't tell my parents about the wind thingy, I felt too weird about it and I thought I should wait until tomorrow to tell them.
Before I went to sleep, I just kept wondering, why me? Why would someone try to take a weird nerdy unimportant random teenager? I was wondering how on earth did I do the wind thing.
Maybe I had a spell casted on me. Nah, maybe it was my imagination and reality is just a videogame that some alien kid is playing. See that there? That's how weird I am.
