I was put in a cell. Yes you read that right, a cell. They treated me like a criminal, like a person who just killed a whole city. Well I did destroyed a big part of central section and residential section but still, I was the avatar, they should not treat me like this, I'm the most powerful human being on this whole planet. Well, I guess is unfair for me to be complaining about this, there are other things happening in the world that is worst than this.

As said before, they put me in a cell. The cell was made up of metal. The floor was metal, the window was surrounded by metal, everything metal. I guess they didn't want me to escape.

I was in one of the corners, all balled up. I had my head in the middle of my knees with my arms surrounding my legs. I was scared, I didn't know what they would do to me. They might leave me here for a long time you know, or they might kill me. I don't know, I just knew that I wanted to get out of here.

After a whole day in being on this cell, one of the officers opened the cell and grabbed me by my shoulder and stood me up.

"Your parents are here to see you" he said with the most serious tone I've ever heard.

I started walking forward and the officer kept pushing me to walk faster. I entered one of those rooms where a glass separated the room in halfs. I was in one side of the room and my parents were on the other side.

I sat down on the chair and faced my mom and dad. My mom, she was almost crying. My dad and was just looking at me with disbelief.

"What were you thinking Ethan Cole Johnson!" My dad finally talked after just staring at me for what it seemed a whole hour. He called me by my full name, I hated it when he did that.

"I mean, I must wonder what you had on your brain while you were destroying the whole city! You know how much of a big deal this is. Millions of dollars in reconstruction must be paid!". My dad was really angry, he never had gotten this angry before.

"Ethan, you're not like this" my mom said after wiping a few tears from her face.
" You're an excellent student, a person who doesn't get in trouble that much, what happened?"

"I don't know mom" I responded.

"Well, you will have to come up with an explanation real quick" said my dad.
Yeah, my dad was very strict. I remember when I was in elementary school and middle school that he didn't let me go out with friends unless he knew the parents. You can say that he is very protective since I'm his only child but I think that he is very strict.

"We will figure something out Ethan, just hang on there" said my mom.

I stayed there just sitting without any response. I didn't feel like talking, I was depressed.

My parents finally stood up from their chairs and walked out. The officer who was behind me all this time told me to get up. I walked back to the cell and I sat down on the same corner and put my head between my legs and my arms around them.

Late at night, I was woken up by people talking. The bed that I was in was against a wall and I was on my side with my face facing the wall. I opened my eyes and was trying to hear the conversation between the two men.

"What are we going to do with him sir? He's very powerful, much more powerful than the others. I bet he would be great in the war" I heard one of the voices.

What war? I was getting confused because the US was not involved in any wars at this time. It was 2033, the last time they were in war was 15 years ago.

"We have to do this slowly" said the other voice with a much more deeper voice.

"Right now, we won't tell him anything like time they sneaked in, we keep quiet" the voice continued, "He might turn on us so we have to keep him under control".

"Okay sir, so do we let him leave?"

"Yes, tomorrow morning let him leave and do not make his parents pay anything for the damages, we have to keep them happy". I heard their steps slowly disappearing down the hall.

I couldn't go back to sleep, I stayed up all night thinking about the conversation I overheard. They wanted to use me as a weapon against a future war against someone. And what did they mean by keeping us happy? Of course they wanted us on their side but I wasn't going to help them start a war. You know how devastating that would be? Millions of people could be killed including the people I love. I couldn't let this happen, this was ridiculous.

And I guess that our sneak in wasn't as secret as I thought it would be. They knew about it, I wonder who told them it was us. I remember Nick, Emma and Dylan wearing a mask and Emma made sure that all of the surveillance tapes were taken. The officers of course would had said something but not our identities. My next mission was to find who was responsible for snitching on us.

The artificial sunlight casted the shadow of the poles on the window into the metal floor. The warmth of the light chased away the darkness and the coldness of the ghostly night. My heart started pumping harder and harder as I slowly heard the footsteps of the tree like officer coming closer to me. His voice made me shake and I rose from the bed like a zombie from the dead.

"Hurry up and wake up, you're free to go" the officer repeated five times like a machine telling you to do something. He opened the cell and the rusty sound of it broke the awkward silence between us.

"Why am I allowed to leave?" I asked the tall officer trying to get some information from him. I have known the cause but now I needed to act as normal as I could ever be.

"You're free to go, no questions" the officers repeated to emphasize the fact that it was a secret. His repetition made him look much more terrifying and my heart continued to beat as fast as a train. He pushed me just like the night before and I exited the building like nothing had happened on the past two days.

I walked through the destroyed park. It had been destroyed about three times after I had arrived at this place. Construction was underway and it seemed like the park was going to be bigger and better than ever. But this did not change my perspective of this place. It was begging to make sense. All I knew that this place was a recruiting center where the government or some sort of power would collect people from across the country and train them for certain amount of time. But what I couldn't understand was why a war. The thought of it made me shake from head to toe and it terrified me to the point that I had to do something about it.
