Rises from Insanity (Sequel to Falling In Love with Insanity)

"Katie wake up!" I stirred a bit but I didn't open my eyes. I feared of what I would see.
"Katie your okay now." The voice said. I slowly opened my eyes.

"Dad?" I ask incredulously. He smiled a bit. I don't know why but I laughed myself at him and hugged him tightly and sobbed. He wrapped his arms around me.

"Sh. It's okay. Your safe. Scarecrow is locked away now. I already gave you the cure so your fine now." He tells me. I look around and I was in my old room. It was nearly night.

"Why are the lights out?" I ask him. He handed me the newspaper.

So my dad is broke now? I never saw that coming. I moved my legs to stand up.

"Where are you going?"

"Um. Back to my place."

"Did you just get back?" He asked me. I roll my eyes but he didn't see.

"Yea I did and sorry dad but I really should get going." I told him. He nodded. I quickly got out of there.

I didn't have a car -.-

I walked down the street as it began to rain. I stuck my thumb out until a car finally stopped.

I got in and held my knife against the guys throat.

"Drive." I growled.

I entered the sewer tunnels and passed the guys who paid no attention to me, thankfully. I wasn't wearing my mask so it was weird for me. Only Bane saw me without the mask. The others didn't know who I really was and I'd like to keep it that way. I spotted my mask on a little cot. I picked it up and put it on.

"You were gone." Bane said from behind me.

"I needed some air." I stated not bothering to look at him.

"I hope your not reconsidering our deal."

"I'm not." I stated firmly. "I'm keeping up my part of the deal and it be wise if you do the same." Bane nods.

"I will. All in good time." He states walking closer. I stand there as he circles me.
