I rubbed my eyes as the lids fell down again and again. I straightened up my hair and tied in a bun after which I woke up and walked into the wall.
I shook my head and entered the washroom, it being my original destination. If I banged into the wall, I could've at least entered platform 9¾, but no.
I got ready and stepped out to my balcony...ah! Sunday breeze. I remembered that I had to go meet Jahnvi so I told my parents and went on my way.
After waiting 5 minutes outside, her mom opened the door. I wished her and walked into Jahnvi's room where she snapped her laptop shut.
"Oh, its just you."
"Yes. What was that about?"
"I thought it was mom. I was online."
"Kartik?"
The fact that she went pink was answer enough. She had opened up her laptop again and was busy typing.
I sat down beside her and this was all that met my eyes.
You like rain? He had messaged.
Yes! I love rains! You?
Not so much. They're too.. Um.. wet.
Ah. I see. :P
What do you prefer? Hot or Cold?
I'm an average human. I like lukewarm and cool. You?
Cold. :P Cause you get heat strokes, no cold strokes. :P
True.
"I fell in love with a naughty girl with decievingly innocent eyes." :*
Ahan? And who might this be?
A classmate.
Oh. Good. :)
I saw her face fall like an iron ball under magnetic effects. What a jerk this guy is. But then he's just flirting.. I do that too. Can't really blame him now, can you? Maybe he really does love this other girl.
Anyway, I've tried to explain it to her a million times that this is not how love works for everyone but Jahnvi has refused to have sense drilled into her. So be it.
I told her to cheer up and asked her if she wanted to go out. She nodded and went to get ready. Meanwhile, I flipped out my phone and checked my messages.
There's a new stall in the food joint! Want to come? Pranav wanted to know.
Since I didn't have any plans in the evening, I messaged, Yes! 5:30! Okay?
I got an immediate reply, Okay.
