You're hopeless
I see it in your eyes
In your smile
And through your lies
It's my fault
I know that
I took your heart
And nearly stomped it flat
You tell me you love me
I stay silent in return
Even though I feel the same
I feel it start to burn
I don't want to watch you fall
Hear your screams of terror
See you with those lifeless eyes
And notice your hand tremors
I can't bring myself to say it back
For I don't want to watch it again
To see you cry with those grief-filled tears
From the past that I tried to mend
