Chapter 16

Toby's POV:

I finished getting dressed and I'm sitting on the couch sliding my sneakers on. My heart is racing, I keep on checking my phone to see if Aria texted me. She hasn't yet. I look over at my wall clock, it's a little past 11. My mouth is dry, I get up and walk into the kitchen and over to the fridge. I open it up to see my bottle of water half full, I take it out and unscrew the cap. As soon as I'm about to drink it I hear someone pounding at the door. I drink some of the water as I walk over to the door. I open to see no one standing there, I step out onto the stairs and see if anyone is there. I see no one. I turn around to see a letter taped to my door. I remove it slowly from my door and open it up. I take out the unfolded piece of paper that reads "Don't think you can get off of the team that easy. Come back or someone gets hurt -A" My heart drops into my stomach. I hear a loud bang from behind me, I spin around as fast as I possibly can to see a quick glance at a black hoodie turning around and running away. My knees go weak. Did I just see that? I saw the black hooded person's face before they ran off... I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw...
