Chapter 17

Aria' POV:

As I pull up to a red light I quickly send Toby a quick text telling him I'm less than five minutes away from Spencer's house. I look up to see the red light turn green. I make a left and drive onto Spencer's block. I park right out front and get out of the car. I look at my phone, Toby hasn't responded to my ménage yet. My heart is beating as fast as it possibly could, my mind is racing I feel numb. I take a deep breath and walk through Spencer's front gate and up to her house. My hands are shaking, I check my phone again and Toby still hasn't answered me. Maybe I'll just come back later with Toby to tell her, I turn around on my heel to start walking away when I hear the door open. "Aria?" It's Spencer. I turn around to face her. "Hey" I say awkwardly. "Why are you standing out here? You know you can just walk in at any time" she says. I nod and try to smile. "Well?" she asks. "Well what?" I respond. "Are you going to come in?" "Yea" I feel like my brain isn't functioning. I walk past Spencer and inside to her living room and sit on the couch, I can hear her follow me. She sits in front of me on her chaise lounge with a smile on her face. It's quiet and it feels like the air has been sucked out of the room. I look up and she begins to speak "So what do you want to tell me?....."
