Chapter 28

Aria's POV:

My heart racing, I now feel everything go numb. Did I just hear want I think I heard? Emily, part of the A Team? The room is still and silent. I can't let this go, something is wrong. She would never join them. Would she? My thoughts are racing, Toby breaks the silence. "Aria?" he says slowly. I look at him, trying to find the words to speak, but I can't. I'm speechless, he holds my hand. I finally respond "I can't believe she would do this. It just doesn't sound like her.". He sighs "I know, I didn't want to believe it, but I know what I saw." "So what do we do?" there is a minute of silence. "I don't know" he responds. I quickly try to change the subject "Did you go back to the loft?" I ask. "Yeah, I cleaned up." he says. We hear a knock on the door and a nurse walks in and gives me my dose for the night. Toby and I are both silent waiting for her to leave the room, but she lingers, like she wants to know what we were talking about. After about five minutes she leaves the room. I sit up a little "So what do we do?" I ask "Do we tell Hanna and Spencer? Does she know you saw her?" I begin to ramble when he stops me. "Woah slow down okay. Lets wait until you aren't in a hospital bed to decide to tell the other girls about this." I sigh "Okay." I lay back down and star to feel extremely tired. I feel Toby's hand holding mine as I fall asleep.
