Transcendental Experience

Sitting outside. How often do people do that nowadays?

There is a great serenity and peace in that haven space.

The whirling of the wind and the croaking of the crows
Was unsurprisingly blissful because time ultimately froze.

I am used to clock watching but hardly letting my thoughts roam.

It was relaxing letting the sun graze my back as my eyes slowly closed.

A few times they'd pop open though
and scan the room for the source of noise.

My senses had a great acuteness, a staunchly poise.

Transcendental ism isn't half bad
but back then, technology wasn't booming so fast.

With all the gizmos and gadgets it's hard to unplug
But when I do, I know that there's a place in nature where the winds blow, the crows croak,
And time is a slug.
