"Thank you for coming to my aid, Mr. Owen", I said after leaving the house.

"It is my duty to protect you, Miss.", he replied.

Had I not been saved by Mr. Owen, I would probably regret my choice of sleeping with neither a friend nor foe.

------

"Relax, Milady. Just think of me as your fiancée who is about to fuck you like no other.", said Arnaldo who joined me being on the bed, naked and bare. I shivered, never been naked in a stranger's house and plus he was not a closed friend or anything.

He then proceeded to position me, so he could feel comfortable and relax. Before even knowing, Arnaldo had placed his whole weight on me. I found out he was dead since blood oozed from him had landed on my back. I could feel it.

"Are you alright, Miss?", said a familiar voice. I turned to saw Mr. Owen holding a pistol in his left hand. He actually shot Arnaldo in the head. Mr. Owen grabbed my clothing and I got dressed before we both walked out of the house without any of Arnaldo's servants noticed.

I was in safe hands.

------

"--you alright?", Mr. Owen's voice brought me back to reality in which I nodded. "We are almost there."

I looked out of the car window, only to noticed I was not outside my apartment. "It is alright, Miss. Master has requested me to bring you here.", said Mr. Owen who was certain what he was doing. Master? I thought Charlie did not know what I was up to.

Without questioning, I followed him to a study room where he told me to wait for "Master" to come. Okay, this was getting weirder... "How did your discovery went?", I heard a voice behind me.

There again, stood Collin who was smiling at me with two glasses of red wine.

------

"Yes, Mr. Owen works for me, Brooke.", Collin answered. "In fact, I was the one who hired your chauffeur instead of Charlie."

"Why are you doing me a favour?", I asked. "You kidnapped me, dumped me outside Charlie's childhood house and etc., etc..."

"Well, I was in fact trying to test my partner's reaction when I kidnapped you.", he again answered. Partner? I thought they were no longer partners? Strange...

"I guess, your fiancé did not really care. That was why I dumped you outside the cottage. I mean, my people.", Collin continued with a glass of red wine in his hands.

Soon, he stood up and walked towards a large portrait of a man, seemingly to studied the portrait. "Do you really know the full story?", Collin asked. "You know, you could never trust a man like Arnaldo. Man like him should not walk on Earth. They are good liars."

I was puzzled, before I could even talk, he cut my sentence to a shocking revelation. "Brooke, do you remember how your family died?" was the sentence which broke me. My family, my family, Collin questioned me something which I did not wanted to face.

"They were killed during a stormy night.", I answered. "My brother begged the killer for mercy...", I muttered my sentence as Collin studied my expression.

"The case was never solved. You told the police the same story which you are going to do the same to me.", he said. "Do you actually remembered what happened?"

"Of course, I remembered!", I exclaimed with tears rolling down my eyes. "I was hiding in my room, hearing my parents and brother being helpless..."

"Okay, calm down, Brooke, calm down.", said Collin who kneeled down and hold my hands. Since when was he even that compassionate for people? Charlie claimed he was a psychopath. I looked at his eyes, only to discovered he was being true and tears were also rolling down. He was pitying me...

"Have you ever thought why the killer did not come for you, even he was in your room?", Collin asked. He was right, the killer could have done the same to me like the rest but he chose to let me off.

"Brooke", Collin said, placing his hands on my face. "My advice to you is be careful. Be careful of the people you are closed to including me and Mr. Owen."

"There is a black sheep among the rest. He or she can be in disguise. You will never know when he or she strikes.", he continued. "One day, your heart will broken. You will be alone and your words, you don't know whether you mean it."

------

I finally got back home to see Charlie still awoke at such hour. It was 11pm when I arrived home. All I just wanted was to shower up and sleep.

"Darling, you're finally home.", Charlie hugged me since I told him it was going to be a long day ahead. "How was your day?"

"Nothing much, just loads of work. Late hours, yucks!", I lied. "Yours?"

"Just taking in stocks and mundane duties as usual.", he replied. "You should get some sleep, good night!", he kissed my cheek before heading to bed. I did the same for him too.

I got my stuff and entered the bathroom, turning on the shower head and stood there. What a long day today and I could not wait for tomorrow! Just as I thought life was good, I remembered what Collin said.

"There is a black sheep among the rest. He or she can be in disguise. You will never know when he or she strikes."

Hopefully, this chapter would serve as a good way to show another side of Collin. There is a black sheep among the rest, who could it be? Should Brooke take his words as advice or something which is there to frightened her?

Stay tuned for the next chapter!

P.S. 10/11/2015 – I just realised Chapter 6 remained unpublished for no reason. Sorry if you are wondering why Chapter 5 could suddenly jumped to 7. My apologies.
