It was another cold, bitter morning when Charlie and I arrived at a graveyard, located at the top of the hill and far from the city. Here lies a man named Collin, who was engraved with a personal favourite flower and words saying he was a friend, brother and son.

I looked back at Charlie, who was weeping and recalling all the good times with the man he knew. I, too recalled the times when Collin kidnapped me and the rest were history. Was it me or I wished I could be kidnapped again? We stood there for some time and later walked back to the car Charlie drove.

------

"Charlie, you haven't told me about how you were kidnapped and who actually shot Mr. Owen back then?", I asked as we were in a downtown pub.

"Is a long story and it is boring.", said Charlie in a mocking British accent. "You sure you wanted to listen?", he doubted. I nodded and yup, he had no choice but to tell me the whole story.

"So it was a mundane day, you were out visiting. Alright, I was maybe drinking a beer or probably a whiskey when I heard a knock on the door. Pizza delivery, said the voice. Okay, I know I wanted a pizza but I don't recalled ordering it.", Charlie said.

"I think I remember you did.", I said as I recalled him holding out his phone and dialed the familiar number.

"So are you listening or not?"

"Oh, pardon me. Go on."

"So yup, I was silly. I just opened the door without even checking. Once I opened the door, the delivery man was no longer there. Before I even knew it, I was suddenly grabbed from behind and I struggled. Then, I found myself being dragged and there it went, I was in the dungeon for days."

"What about the man who shot Mr. Owen?", I asked.

"Well, em... It was me.", Charlie hesitated. "Sheena forced me to do so or she would proceed with the plan of getting rid of you. I knew at that point of time I had a twin brother, Alden and he was already at the house."

"The line I said to Mr. Owen was scripted.", Charlie continued as he picked up his glass of whiskey and sipped it down. "Okay, this is getting boring. Your turn."

------

I arrived back at home and the snow was getting even more heavier. Thank goodness, there was still Charlie who was willing to drive me back home, so the poor girl won't need to walked on foot in this cold weather.

"Brooke, wait.", Charlie called out before I even unlocked the front door. "There's something I wanted to pass to you." He then proceeded to take out a small red box and untied the ribbon on it. Was I thinking what I was thinking?

Soon, Charlie kneeled down again like how he did last time. But this time, the proposal speech was different. "Brooke, just ditch that ring I placed on your fourth finger. Christmas spirit and yup Christmas gift."

"Will you marry me?"

What else could I say? Of course, I would marry this man. He was the love of my life and I liked the way he sounded when he said just ditch that ring. Oh my gosh, am I fangirling over his cute British accent? "Okay sorry.", I snapped out of my thoughts. "Yes, Charlie."

Before I even got to say more words, Charlie grabbed and spin me around and we then kissed out in the beautiful winter. The winter we were experiencing was unlike any other winter. The snow was even more whiter and pure.

"Em, nice boys don't kiss like that.", I said.

"Oh yes, they fucking do."
