"There is a black sheep among the rest. He or she can be in disguise. You will never know when he or she strikes."

"There is a black sheep among the rest. He or she can be in disguise. You will never know when he or she strikes."

"Brooke, are you there?", Charlie called me out. "Did you hear what I said?" Obviously, I did not if he asked. I couldn't stop thinking about Collin's words and why would I trust his words wholeheartedly.

Charlie decided to take me out to this country club restaurant since the place claimed they have the "best chicken rice in town". "I couldn't miss this for the whole world", he said. "You shouldn't miss this, Brooke." was what he kept saying to me once I got home from work (left early since today was a "special day" for Jennifer and her husband).

"Okay, you won't have to answer.", said Charlie. "I was just saying why not we have our wedding here since look at those (food), the guests would surely love it!". Charlie sure was right, alright the country club wins and it has the best chicken rice in town as it claimed to be. I gave a thumb up to him and he gave me a peck on my cheek.

"I just realise you haven't talk to me as much as we used to, Brooke.", Charlie said as he took the wheel. "Is there something you aren't telling me?" I did not gave a definite answer. I mean, how can I tell my fiancé that I got into a trouble and my chauffeur saved by life. What else? Ah, my chauffeur was hired by your former gay lover, Collin?

"No, there isn't."

"I hope so.", Charlie kept his eyes on me before looking back at the road.

Finally, we arrived back at our townhouse (pictured) and soon parted ways to do our activities. I saw Charlie entered his study room, but there was something different about his action. He did not want to be notice, despite his few servants checking on him whether he needed any snacks or drinks. Surely, I was thinking too much or something. Someone please, knock me on my head...

Collin: how was your dinner date?

Collin: surely you had fun :)

Brooke: It was the best chicken rice I have ever tasted! You should too!

Collin: hahaha, the last time I ever tried one was in Singapore where Charlie and I had business to do.

Collin: you should visit there... someday...

Brooke: Hmm, alright..

Collin: Okay back to business, you saw him entering his study room. What's so suspicious about it?

Brooke: He didn't want anyone to know it. Not even his servants who are always standing guard outside the room.

Brooke: I'm his fiancée so obviously I know what he does.

Collin: okay okay, I was his former partner lol. If you're wondering how you're going to find out, no worries Mr. Owen will always be there.

Brooke: Wow, you mean your man?

Brooke: Wait, isn't it trespassing my house??

Collin: It isn't trespassing when my man actually has access. He used to work there.

Brooke: But isn't it still trespassing...

Collin: you will have lots to learn about my people...

Mr. Owen's POV

"Sir, it seems your partner- I mean Charlie is engaging in a phone conversation.", I told my master who ordered me to spy on this young couple. It sure is terrible to spy on your former friend or partner.

My master giggled. "Phone conversation... Wonder why so suspicious...", he said. I used my super binoculars to observed Charlie's movement. I am proud of my abilities since I am able to put them to good use.

I was able to get a good look and lip read what he was saying. After a few minutes, sigh, I am not sure my master would be pleased to hear this. "Sir, I believe from what I have just saw, Charlie is working for someone else who doesn't seem impressed with what he does.", I reported.

"Okay, go on.", my master said, he knew I had more to what I said. "Charlie was ordered to carry out a plan to get rid of his fiancée.", I again reported. "Master, she is going to be in danger."

"Same goes to you.", said a voice as I felt a gun pointing to my head.

------

The first time I decided not to have a point of view from Brooke. Mr. Owen had the honour of going first, reporting the movement of Charlie. Charlie may not be sweet and innocent as he should be.

Why would Mr. Owen report that he was going to get rid of Brooke? With many years of such training, he would not be wrong to guess the plan. Another question, who could the person pointing the gun at his head be?
