      I walked into the nearly empty common room, guessing that all of the students must be attending classes. Fred and George had their backs to me, hunched over a table set in front of the window. I went to drape my robe over the back other the large backed plush armchair next to the fireplace, distinguishing the whispers from across the room. They must not have heard me come in.
"Well, at least we know it doesn't work."

     "Yeah, but we don't have the opposite confection yet, and it wasn't supposed to not work this well."

     "Possibly problematic Fred."
I snuck up behind the twins, curious, and peeked over their shoulders from in between them, having to stand on my very tippy toes, and was astonished by what I saw.

       "Dean?" I squeaked, covering my mouth first in shock, then to smother my giggles. Fred and George both turned quickly, fast enough their robes whirled, and simultaneously put both hands on the table and leaned on it to create a wall between me and what I thought I just saw. Fake guilty smiles appeared on both of their faces. I raised an eyebrow, dropping my hands from my mouth to my hips.

     "Sophie!" Fred exclaimed just as George loudly stated;

     "You're back!" They looked at each other and then back at me. George cleared his throat. "So what did Dumbledore want with you?" I smiled at his attempt and decided to indulge him.

     "Oh, turns out that the other schools are coming here for a while for some parties and to meet me and some other stuff, just wanted to give me a heads up." I told him conversationally. The twins actually looked a bit surprised at that.

      "Wicked. Must be an important thing to find you." Fred added, and I rolled my eyes. Okay, time for business.

     "Yeah, must. Now why is there a six inch tall Dean on George's shoulder?" I asked bluntly. Neither of them had noticed a tiny Dean scaling their clothes to get where I could see him, and he was currently sitting on George's shoulder, patiently waiting to be noticed. They both glanced at Dean, who honestly resembled a Ken doll quite closely. George began an hurried explanation;

      "Ah. Yes. About that, well, your brother seemed to have gotten into our new batch of Growing Gumdrops-"

     "Not that they were successful, quite the opposite-" Fred interrupted, continuing the story.

     "But anyway he obviously ate quite a few-"

     "The affects were only a few inches each piece-"

     "But he's the one who stole the candy-"

     "So you can see this is totally-"

     "Irrevocably-"

     "Not our fault!" They finished together, concluding that impressive show of twin telepathy. I bit my lip to keep from laughing, and coughed sharply to dissipate the urge to break out into giggles at Dean's dilemma.

     "Um, alright. Do you have the counter potion?" I asked earnestly, and little Dean crossed his arms expectantly. George shook his head, almost dislodging Dean from his perch.

     "It's completely temporary though, meant to get into rides at amusement parks and such, but it seems we've got the recipe a bit screwy." Fred answered, examining a bright blue sugar coated candy. Dean started talking I think, but it was the volume of a whisper and I was too far to make it out.

     "Relax, it'll last the rest of the day probably, meanwhile we should worry more about you getting stepped on than anything." George said, and plucked Dean from his shoulder gently, dropping him in his other palm. Disoriented, Dean looses his footing and trips onto his backside as George holds him out to me. "Here, you take him."
