*Six Months Later.*

Annabel woke up from her deep slumber to find herself alone in bed. She looked all around for Jessie, her dog, but couldn't find him. She searched inside and out. He was no where to be found.

"Jessie! Jessie where are you boy!" Annabel called out.

Then it hit her, Jessie died two months ago. One day her and Kenny were playing with Jessie in the park when a car went off course and drove through the park. The car headed straight towards Annabel but Jessie ran and pushed her out of harms way.

"Oh Jessie, I miss you so much." Annabel cried out.

"How could I have forgotten." She walked back to her room, with tears in her eyes, and checked her phone. She already had ten text from Kenny and Emmett.

'Hey guys. How's everything going?' She asked in their chat.

'Morning my love. I'm doing fine. How are you?' Kenny responded instantly.

'Yay. Everything's fine. Emmett are you there?' Annabel sent. Usually Emmett would already start talking. After about seven minutes Annabel got a separate text. It was from Emmett.

'Annabel could you meet me at the abandon building down by the movie theater? I need to ask you something.' And that was all Emmett sent. Annabel was scared that Emmett might have done something wrong. Or worse, he was about to do something wicked.

Annabel called up Kenny and asked if they could meet at their second home. Kenny agreed and so they were going to meet up in an hour.

It was Augusts so Annabel chose the most likely thing to wear. She slipped into a pair of nice jean short shorts, a blue tank top with a white crop top, and a pair of black converse.

*Emmett's Thoughts.*

'Should I do it? Should I tell her? How do I do it? When do I do it? Do I just tell her I love her or do I need to do it in a special way? Oh god, I hope I'm making the right choice.

I'm only going to stay if she tells me she feels the same. If not I'm going to leave. She will need me soon. Kenny is leaving at the end of the week. He hasn't told her yet so it may be my chance, my only chance to win her.

He is such a fool. She is going to hate him forever for this. He has had six months to tell her. He has known for six months he would be needing to leave.'

Emmett smiled wickedly. He knew he would win Annabel over easily because she will need him, her best friend, to support her. He will make sure he is there for everything. Annabel will finally realize she also loves him.

*At The Cave.*

"Annabel?" Kenny called out.

Annabel told him to meet her here. He searched the entire top floor then went to the bottom floor. He found Annabel laying on the bed with her hands on her head. Kenny walked over and sat next to her. He sighed.

"Hey Annabel. Doing ok?" He asked her. She just shrugged and moved her hands away from her face to see him.

"Yay, I'm doing fine." Annabel said but really she felt like dying.

She was afraid of what was to come. Her parents told her one day when she was getting close to fifteen she would become something much stronger than any witch, vampire, werewolf, or immortal being. She would have an entire new power that no one could explain.

"Annabel, I can tell when you are keeping things from me." Kenny said.

"I can tell when you keep things from me too Kenny. For the past six months you've been keeping something from me." Annabel snapped back.

Kenny was frightened. He was so sure he hid any emotion or expression that would give anything away. He was wrong.

"Annabel, I haven't been telling you everything. It's just."

"It's just what Kenny? What is so important you can't even tell me?" Annabel cried.

"I'm leaving New Orleans Friday afternoon. I was suppose to leave in two weeks but they changed it." Annabel just looked at Kenny with a blank stare.

"Annabel, my pack needs a leader. There are only two people who can take that job. It was either me or Emmett. Since I am the eldest the position goes to me. If I were to have died then it would go to him." Kenny said.

He couldn't even look at Annabel. She was looking at him like he was something she didn't want to touch. Something so horrid that she barely could even look at or breathe the same air as it. Annabel stood up and walked a couple paces.

"And I thought I had the bad news." She said before she disappeared into thin air.
