*Three Months Later.*

Annabel and Emmett have stopped talking to each other ever since the Friday afternoon they said goodbye to Kenny. She refused to even see his face or answer his calls and texts. Annabel never leaves the house. She just sits at home reading, cleaning, writing, anything she can do to pass the time.

Annabel started writing music too. She had written seventeen songs already and recorded them on her phone. She wrote a trilogy and two other separate books. Annabel did everything she wanted and yet she still felt empty.

Every night she would go to bed sad. A couple hours later she would wake up in a cold sweat screaming. She called out for Kenny every night but he never appeared. She cried herself back to sleep. This was her life everyday the entire summer.

As it came to a close end of the summer Annabel began to change in ways that were unnatural. Her eyes began changing colors every second of the day.

Her hair started shifting colors. One second it would be light brown the next it turned a bit red. Later it would be black with blond highlights.

Her skin shun in the morning sun and had a luminescent glow at night. Annabel didn't mind the change except for the fact that whenever she went out to get food or groceries people would stare at her.

Her hair changed color in seconds not over night. Her eyes matched her mood when she was nervous. People oh'd and aw'd wherever she went. Annabel hated the attention.

One day when Annabel was walking through the streets of New Orleans she felt someone staring at her. She looked over to the other side of the street and in the ally she say a flash of emerald greens eyes.

"Kenny?" She said to herself.

She moved closer but as soon as she blinked the eyes disappeared. She shook her head and continued walking. When she made it the the grocery store she went down to the fruit isle. When she placed the strawberries in her basket she looked up and saw Kenny leaning against a wall near by.

"Kenny?" Annabel said out loud.

She moved closer but he moved gracefully around the corner. She ran and followed him but as soon as she turned the corner he was gone. She broke down crying. She sat down on the floor and quietly cried while people walked by trying to comfort her.

Everyone in town knew each other. Everyone knew she wasn't talking to anyone. They knew Kenny had left three months ago and that she never saw Emmett anymore. Some people believe she snapped a long time ago and that she was going crazy. She didn't care.

Annabel finally went back home. When she got there she found a little pup sitting on the stairs of her home. It was a little pug.

"Hey there boy. What brings you here?" She asked in a baby voice.

The pug whimpered in response. Annabel picked the pup up and brought it inside. She took him to the kitchen and gave him some water.

"Well it looks like you don't have an owner. I guess I'll keep you. Now, what to name you." Annabel sat down and started think of names. She sat for nearly ten minutes before she had the perfect name.

"I think I'll name you Antonio." Annabel said.

Antonio was the name of one of her favorite characters in a book series she finished. It was called, 'Me and My Time Traveler Friend'. She loved it. It wasn't only about time travel and friendship. It was also a love story, and Annabel love's her love stories.

She took the dog to her room and let him sniff around while she took a shower. She didn't bother closing the door because, well, no one was there. She turned the shower on, putting it at hot water.

She slipped her clothes off and they fell to the floor. She moved gracefully into the shower, this was all out of habit. She didn't know it but she did everything very smooth and gracefully.

The water hit her and made her hair darker than her natural hair. It was now wet and smooth. Her skin began to shimmer. The water droplets absorbed the light and cause it to divide. The colors of the rainbow was everywhere.

Annabel turned around to see a shadow behind the shower curtain. It was tall, about five eight. It's hair was up to its shoulders. It's body was sculpted amazingly.

"Who's there?" Annabel asked trying to cover herself.

The figure didn't answer, instead it got closer. Annabel turned the shower off and grabbed a towel. She wrapped it around herself fast. As she finished the figure was directly in front of the curtains. Annabel could see its slow, calm breath.

"Look, just take what you want ok. I don't want any trouble. Just leave me be." Annabel said.

She didn't dare look away from the shadow. Suddenly the hands on the figure moved closer to the shower curtain. It's fingers grabbed it and slowly started to move the curtain dividing them.

Before it could move it an inch Antonio walked in and started barking at the intruder. He went and bit it on the leg and barked again. The figure ran off and out the window. Annabel opened the curtain and saw Antonio there still barking.

"Aww! Who's my good boy? You are." She grabbed Antonio and hugged him tightly. She gave him light kisses on the head. She placed him back down and they both headed to Annabel's room.

She changed into a pair of tight yoga short shorts and a black tank top with a sweatshirt Kenny left behind. She always wore this sweatshirt at night now. It was the only thing she had of him left.

Antonio jumped on the bed and snuggled with her. It was already past ten before she finally went to sleep.
