Chapter 13: Werewolves

I haven't come out of my room in two days since the hogsmead trip on Saturday. The news that Sirius Black is my uncle and godfather has really shaken me up. I haven't been out of my room at all. Ang, Katie, Gin, and Mione have come I and made sure I was ok. They also bring me food and make sure I eat. I'm patronus and scared that Sirius Black will come kidnap or kill me.

"Come on A.J we have to get to class. We have D.A.D.A today." Ang said trying to get me out of bed.

"Ok I'm coming." I say getting changed and throwing my hair in a messy bun. 

I walked down to the great hall with Katie and Angelina.

"Hey look  awoke from the dead." George said jokingly. The girls and Harry are the only ones that now why I'm upset and I intend to keep it that way.

Hey A.J are you ok?" Fred asked.

Yeah you aren't your happy go lucky self. You didn't even laugh at my joke." George said.

"Yeah I'm fine I  just miss my home." I reply.

"Alright." George said and continued eating. However Fred looked at me for a bit longer then continued to eat. I looked over at the teachers table and I didn't see my uncle. I was about to go and look for him when my owl came and have me a note.

You've probably noticed I'm not at the teachers table today. Don't worry I'm fine. Just a little under the weather. I won't be teaching class today and I don't know who they have as the substitute. Love you and stay out of trouble. - Uncle Moony

"Well I guess my uncle won't be teaching today." I say and put the note in my bag.

"Speaking of which you  should getting  going to." Hermione says picking up her books and walking out of the hall.

With that being said I picked up my books and headed to the D.A.D.A class room. Fred, George, Lee, Angelina, followed me and we meet Cade and Bray on the way. We sat in our assigned seats and waited for class to begin. After several minutes. The windows shut and it got really dark. Then Professor Snape walked in.

"There will be no foolish wand waving. Turn to page 394." He instructed and set up the project so it should a picture of a werewolf.

I politely raised my hand. "Yes Ms. Wood." He says in monotone.

"We already learned about werewolves in 3rd year." I say politely.

"That may be true but that was taught by Professor Quirell and he had He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named on the back of his head. I doubt he taught you anything right" he said smugly.

"Now these creatures are terrible horrendous beasts." He continued.

My blood began to boil. I looked next to me at Brayden and her face looked like she swallows a lemon. I looked a Brayden and his face went pale.

"Can any one tell me the difference between a werewolf and a animangus." He asked and no one raised there hand.

"No one. Such a shame looks I was right about Quirell not teaching you anything. How about Mr. Grace. Tell us what's he difference between a werewolf and animangus." Snape asks.

"Well an animangus can transform into a certain animal at will be would still would fully know who he is and what he's doing  were as a werewolf has no choice and changes involuntary during a full moon and has no control or knowledge of what he's doing ." He gulps. "Also a werewolf has to be bitten or has to have a parent who is one to become a werewolf. Where as an animangus can learn how to become one." He says shakily. He looks like he's going to pass out.

"Very good Mr. Grace. And what is the purpose of wolfsbane.............. Um how about Ms. Wood. " he says smugly.

"Wolfsbane is a potion that helps a werewolf have somewhat control during the full moon but still are in the form of a werewolf. Those poor people have to suffer every full
Moon it's not right." I respond through greeted teeth.

"10 points from Gryffindor for ms. Wood's sharp tongue. I want two feet of parchment on how to brew a wolfsbane and the history behind of it. Class dismissed." He says and walks out his greasy hair and and black robes flowing behind him.

After the class Bray and I made a b-line to Cade.

"Cade are you ok. Your shaking." I say eloping into a hug.

"Yeah. I-I-I'm fine." He stutters.

"Don't worry Snape's a git. You're not a monster." Bray said tucking a Piece of hair behind Cade's ear.

"Thanks. You guys are the best sisters ever." He said engulfing is both in a hug.

"If it helps. You can always as Uncle Remus about it. " I say walking out with my arm over his shoulder.

"I'm sure he can help you and give you advice." Bray said sling her arm also over his shoulder making Cade in the middle.

"Well we have to go to Herbology. See you." Bray said and her and Cade headed to class.

"Hey are you ok." Fred asks coming around the corner.

"Yeah. You weren't yourself this morning and today during class you looked like you were going to be sick. " George adds.

"I'm fine guys honestly." I say throwing my arm over each of their shoulders.

"You know you can tell me anything right." George whispered into my ear.

I nod and put a finger to my lips signaling to keep quite. He gives me a nod and then Fred says "will you to stop talking telepathically. That's only supposed to be a twin thing. You stealing my brother." And throws his arms around George and pulls him away from my grasp.

"Thank you for saving me Freddie. She was bewitching me with her mind powers." George replies and throws his arms around Fred and they start cracking up.

"Let's go knuckle heads." I say putting them both in a head lock and we walk to Charms class.
