The weeks flew by surprisingly fast. Mostly because I've been spending all of my time with the boys and admittedly, I'm glad Omar did the dare 'cause now Olly and I are closer than before and I'm comfortable being around him now. I think we're closer than me and Oscar are, and trust me when I say this, Oscar and I are very, very, very close. Which is saying a lot considering the fact that we've been friends for only three weeks, but I'm still thankful.
I've been spending time with Stephanie too. She's a lot like Omar, I tell you. Her parent's are divorced, which is sad, so she moved and lived here with her dad. Even though she won't admit it, I know she likes Omar, it's pretty obvious. Same with him, I asked him one time if he liked her and he just shook his.
"Which world are you in right now?"
Looking to the right, Olly stood there with a smile on his face. The thing is, I don't know what I'm feeling when it comes to him but at the same time I kind of welcomed that feeling-whatever that is. Omar thinks that I "like" him, but I wouldn't say that. Yeah, I like him, but as a friend-I think.
"Narnia." I looked back at the window.
Plopping down next to me, he laid his head on my lap and stared up at me. Cue the stupid dragonflies. Looking down at him curiously, I flicked his nose before laughing and leaning my head back. This couch is too small to have him sprawled out like this. This couch doesn't have space for a giant marshmallow like him.
We stayed like that for a moment, not saying anything. I guess he's thinking about something judging from the way his eyebrows are all bunched up. The house without the other guys are dead silent and honestly, it's kinda relaxing because for the past three weeks, it's always filled with screaming-how they're not deaf, I'll never know. My heart started beating faster when he played with my fingers. Damn, get a hold of yourself Tyvvah.
"Hey, Bugsy?" He asked after a while.
"You seriously need to stop calling me that." I groaned,
He didn't say anything. I was tempted to look at him but I remained my eyes to focus on the ceiling above. Did he fall asleep?
"Hey, Bugsy?" He repeated.
"Hmm?" I hummed, not taking my eyes off the specific dot on their ceiling.
I waited for him to say something, but he didn't. He stayed silent. Again. Maybe this time he's asleep.
"Can I ask you a question?" He asked.
Looking down at him, I smirked. "You just did."
"Well, can I ask you another one then?" He rolled his eyes.
"You just did." I repeated, chuckling.
"Can you just let me ask you a question?" He sighed.
"You already did. In fact, you asked two questions." I laughed.
Sitting up, he looked at me dead in the eye before saying, "I'm serious."
Suddenly, my breath hitched as I stared into his eyes. For some reason, his eyes seemed bluer than they usually are. Damn, is my heart going to explode? 'Cause it's beating so fast even I can't keep up with it. He dropped his left hand while the other remained on my cheek.
Oh my god.
Oh my god.
Oh my god.
Is he gonna kiss me again? I am so not ready for this. Nor will I ever be! Should I push him away? Inner conscience, what do you think I should do?
You're not even sure if he's going to kiss you. You're just over thinking and assuming. Again.
You can't blame me! This was what he did last time! Good thing he didn't kiss me.
Are you sure it's a good thing?
Yeah, why wouldn't it be?
"Abee?"
Blinking a couple of times, my eyes focused on his to see him looking at me curiously.
"Are you okay?" He asked hesitantly.
"Yeah, yeah. Just some internal debate going on with captain stupid." I whispered the last part.
You know, you're still talking about you. Stupid.
I was calling you stupid, not me.
Idiot, we're the same person!
"You zoned out again, Bugsy." Olly said as he snapped his fingers in front of me.
"Sorry, what were you saying?" I asked, closing my eyes.
"I asked if you wanted to go out and get some food?" He chuckled.
"Oh yeah, sure." I said getting up.
Running to my room, I took off my shorts and shirt before putting on jeans and a shirt. Slipping on my shoes, I grabbed my jacket before heading downstairs. When I got there, Olly was on his phone, twirling his keys on his fingers. The funny thing is, we were the exact same clothes. Black skinny jeans, plain white shirt, black leather jacket and black Nike running shoes. Damn.
...
"So where are we eating?" I asked once we got off the drive way.
"Well, I was planning on taking you to Sturehof for lunch." He said, glancing at me before focusing on the road again.
Suddenly, one of Justin Bieber's song came on.
"What do you mean?
Ohh ohh ohh
When you nod your head yes
But you wanna say no
What do you mean?
Hey yeah
When you don't want me to move
But you tell me to go
What do you mean? "
"This song is my jam!" I smiled widely.
"Ohh, what do you mean? Said we're running out of time. What do you mean?" I sang.
For the rest of the drive, I noticed Olly kept on glancing at me and it's starting to scare me. Not because how fast my heart is beating everytime I catch him, but because if he doesn't focus on the road, we might end up crashing or something. Not that I don't trust him, but I don't trust him. Not when his attention isn't focused on the road. What scares me the most, is that the flashback that keeps replaying on my mind got me holding on to my seat so tight that I could feel my fingers start to go numb as I closed my eyes tightly.
"Momma!" I screamed as the truck's headlights come near us.
Momma looks at me, even with what's about to happen, she still managed to smile at me. Why?
"Abee, honey. It's going to be okay." She says as she places her hand on my cheek.
Opening my eyes, I saw that we were now in front of a restaurant. Looking around, I met Olly's eyes to see him looking at me with a frown.
"What?" I asked.
"Are you okay?" He asks.
"Yeah, why'd you ask?" I cocked my head to the side.
He looked hesitant at first before shaking his head and saying, "Nothing."
Putting on a smile, I removed my seat belt and opened the car door. "Come on then, I'm hungry."
