Chapter 3
By time I reached the cafeteria half of the students have already left to go to there classes. As I passed some of the students I heard some whispering about what they saw on the plan and how I told the head mistress, goddess Gaia; that I don’t control an element. It’s like the students here have nothing better to talk about since they have to bring up my problems even though they don’t even know me. If there’s one thing I hate it’s people gossiping behind your back because they don’t have enough balls to say it to your face.
I grabbed an apple and headed off to find Anu, but stopped when I saw her surrounded by lots of new friends, some she met on the plan other’s she met during placement. I wouldn’t want to ruin her chance at popularity because she was friends with someone who didn’t have any powers at all. With that last thought I turned around and headed off to find my first class as I ate my apple.
If it wasn’t for my photographic memory I don’t think I would have been able to find any of my classes. The school it self was huge and there are so many different classes it make you wonder what half of them are used for. They even have a detention room that make sure you don’t use any of your powers while in there. Apparently the walls are made from some really rare material that they mix into the cement -like kryptonite to superman.
It wasn’t hard to find my first class -schools maps can be useful to memorize when needed- it only took my about five minutes to actually get there.
Elemental History would have fun to learn it I haven’t already learned any of it from my parents and sister. Mr. Wilson wasn’t a boring teacher but I believe some of his teaching method could use some work -make it more interesting get students attention in different ways. You want them to learn something not sleep thought something your trying teach them. Today we were learning bout each gods and goddesses before we can go onto anything more interesting- like wars we fought and law that were made. Plus Mr. Wilson want’s us to learn about each of them so that we know who were learning from. The only goddess we weren’t learning about just yet was goddess Nyx. This class was only an hour an half long.
“Hey names Breeze, Element air. You?” Breeze was a freshmen just like me. The only reason I know that is because everyone in this class is a freshmen. He had violet eyes like Anu, he also has black hair. In my opinion he’s cute.
“Hey I’m sapphire, no current element at the moment” I gave him a friendly hopping that he won’t hate me for not having a power.
“So your undecided that’s cool” he gave me a warm smile back. My eyes were wide that he didn’t look disgusted about me not have a power at all.
“You don’t mind that have no powers or anything like that” you could hear the confusion in my question. I mean what guy in there right mind would think that’s cool.
“I have a brother who didn’t get his water element until the end of his freshmen year so you’ll get your’s it’s just being shy” he told me all this while listening to the teaching and taking notes that are on the board.
“That’s cool” I said while reading what the teacher wrote. Breeze and I didn’t talk until the teacher told us we only had five minutes of class left and that we could talk amongst ourselves.
“so why didn’t you write down any of the notes” Breeze asked while putting his note pad away just like everyone else was. Who needs to write down stuff that you already know.
