It only took me a moment to make up my mind. I know it’s a big response ability and I know that its wrong to keep secrets from your best friend but if it’s to protect her then I will do it. Plus it’s my destiny. I can feel that I need to do this.

“I sapphire Lynnette solemnly swear to keep my promise to thou Goddess Nyx.” I said with my head held high showing goddess Nyx that I am ready and that I mean every word I said. I wonder if every one else had to this but then again they never had to hide what element they use? So why me? Why can’t I tell anyone and how long do I have to keep it a secret? I was starting to get a little dizzy with all the question that were roaming around in my brain. All my question came to a halt when I heard goddess Nyx talk once again.

“Well my child let’s began” The air around goddess Nyx started picking up, her long white hair started flowing every where. The Trees in the distance started swaying back and forth. The stream flowing quicker then It was earlier. What was happening? I asked myself as I stood there in awe. Soon goddess Nyx was glowing a bright white.

“Sapphire today you will get your powers, you will soon be able to control air, fire, water, earth and spirit. You will be trained by me so that you can use with out causing harm to yourself or to others” Goddess Nyx took a step closer to me and looked me in the eyes. “ You may have your powers Sapphire” She took a step back and looked up at the sky before looking at me again before talking again,

“Let the Air whisper their help to you, let air help conceal your fear. Let Air help make you silent as the night. Let Air come to you” As she said the last line I felt the air change. It moved around me, ruffling my hair and filling my ears with the sound of wind sighing through the leaves. I smiled at the comfort it gave me.

“ Let fire give you strength and power, Let the fire warm you, let fire come to you” I soon I felt the sensation of heat mixed with the wind blowing softly against me. the heat wasn’t exactly uncomfortable it kind of felt like I was laying out in the sun trying to get a tan on a hot summer day. I could feel the sweat building up on my forehead but the nice breeze of the wind kept me cool enough.

“Let water guide you to good and never evil. Let water sooth any stress you may have. Let water guide you home if ever needed. Let water come to you” I soon heard the sounds of waves and the smell of a salty sent of the sea wash over me.

“Let earth heal any wounds that might cause you a great deal of pain, let earth comfort you in any way they can. Let earth be apart of you as you are apart of it. Let earth come to you” I could hear the leaves rustling as the trees swayed back and forth. I could feel the ground rumbling under my feet.

“last but sternly not least, let spirit complete you and bind all the elements to you as one. Let spirit connect with me so that you may visit and learn. Let spirit fill you with Joy, happiness and love. Let the spirits of your love ones that have pass, help you on your journey of growing. Let spirit come to you.” I could hear children giggling and dancing around. I watched as my skin started to glow white like goddess Nyx I could feel my self building with excitement and just wanted to spin around and laugh like I did when I was little, but stopped my self from do so. I could feel all of the elements wrapping around me like a blanket soon feeling like a second skin. What felt like hours but really only a few minutes every thing changed and went back to normal. The wind died down and the sound of the waves left my ears, the trees stood still and ground stopped moving. But I could still feel the emotion of each element. Even though every thing was still. I could still feel the elements around me as if they never left.
