I looked to my right to see who the voice belong to, only to lock my eyes on ashes table. Ash sat there with Bowie with there dinners in front of them half eaten. It took me a second to realize that the voice belong to Ash. Who by the way looks really shocked to see me along with everyone else but then again who wouldn’t be shocked since the last time they saw me I was bleeding to death and slipping into a coma.

I could feel my spirit element pushing at me to read there soul; to know every thing about them, there every wish, thought, dreams. But I held it back by taking a deep calming breath like goddess Nyx told me to do when something likes this happens. I can’t wait till we start training with spirit so that I can have better control and no one would be able to know I’m using it. Which reminds me I really need to find a nice quite area in the forest where I can practice without any interruption from anyone. Maybe… I was brought out of my thoughts by a familiar high pitch squeal from across the dinning hall.

I knew only one person who has a squeal like that and it belongs to my best friend Anu. I saw her get up from her spot, her food forgotten, and ran at me with her arms wide open. She crashed into me giving me a big hug.

“Anu… can’t breath… sore muscles” as I said the last words she hurried up and let go of me as if I burnt her.

“Oh Sapphire your really awake, oh my gods I thought I was going to lose you. I thought you were never going to wake. And when I saw you laying there not moving…” she couldn’t finish her sentence as a sob rocked through her as she tried to hold in her tears. I grabbed her in a hug to give her comfort.

“Shh… I’m here. I’m awake. You can’t get rid of me that easily” I told her as she let out another rounds of sobs. I looked up as I notice everyone was still watching me/us as we stood there hugging each other. I saw Breeze get up from his spot next to Anu and came over wrapping his arms around both of us. We stood there for a few more seconds before Anu pulled back. Her eyes red from crying.

“Don’t you dare do that to me again. You hear me I was worried sick” Anu said pouting. I smiled at that

“I’ll try me best okay” I told her. We were intrupted by someone clearing there throat. I looked up towards the gods and goddess Gaia. She was standing there smiling.

“Well this sure is a surprise, Sapphire we weren’t expecting you to wake any time soon. Mostly since none of the healers could heal you. When did you wake up dear? And how are you felling” she asked in a tone a mother would use on a sick child.

“Just before coming here goddess Gaia. I got tired of waiting for a healer to come check on me and got really hungry. So I got up after a few tries and got dress and came here. I’m feeling okay still really sore and my head is kind of killing me, but other then that I’m okay. How long was I out for?” I asked even though I already know the answer. I just asked so that I didn’t look suspicious just like I lied about my head killing me. My head felt just fine but they didn’t need to know that.

“Okay dear I’ll have a healer look at your head to see how it’s doing. But for now why don’t you go sit down and eat. Then you may go to your room to rest you can have a the day off tomorrow from school since it’s only Friday tomorrow, that way you can have the weekend to rest but make sure Monday morning your back to class” Goddess Nyx said sitting down to finish her meal. I watch as Breeze walk away towards the food line as Anu dragged me towards the table sitting me down next her. A few seconds later a plate a food was set in front of me. I gave breeze a quick ‘Thank you’ before digging in. I heard my friends laugh around me as I ate my food quickly. God how I miss my friends. I thought as I continued to eat.
