Chapter 6: Rage of the Serpent

“Hel! Are you okay?!” Jormungand came rushing into the room. Hel was sitting in her bed, while Alex was sitting on his chair, reviewing some clues.

“Sir… Tyr might be innocent…” Alex said.

“What made you think that? All evidences point to him.”

“We saw Fenrir a while ago, he was the source of the ghastly chainsaw stories.” Alex said.

“But what…does he gain?”

“Tricking others. Loki can transform to anyone he wants. He committed the Ghastly Chainsaw Massacre while taking on Fenrir’s looks.”

Jormungand balled his fist. “That is the last straw.” He said.

He began walking to the halls, to the room of the Trickster God, Loki. Room 643.

He kicked the door open.

“Hmm… Midgarsorm. Hello.” In front of him was a beautiful woman, with midnight black hair, beautiful bright blue eyes, and a curvy figure.

“Who are you?” Jormungand said.

“I am Lady Sif. Thor’s wife.”

“She was supposed to have blond hair.”

“What…are you talking about? I have silky blond hair, see? Loki cut off my old hair, the color of wheat. But then now it’s golden, just like Baldr’s. I am so lucky.” She said running her fingers on her black hair.

Loki. Him. “Loki tricked you. Your hair isn’t as golden as you think…”

“Ah, I see you have made your acquaintace.” Loki suddenly appeared on the chair. “Hello, Midgarsorm. Looking quite dashing.”

“Loki, what is the serpent talking about? My hair isn’t as golden…”

“Oh, believe me, Sif, It is as golden as Baldr’s.” His tone was hypnotizing, even Jormungand thought for a second that it was really gold.

Sif smiled then left in a hurry while humming to herself.

“What may I do for you, Midgarsorm, rather, Jormungand, my son.” Loki said standing there in all his handsome glory.

“Don’t call me that. Don’t ever call me that again.” Jormungand said, his eyes flashing dangerously scarlet.

“Four thousand years and this is the kind of hello, you give your father?” Loki said, “My, my, haven’t you got attitude.”

Jormungand’s veins turned purple.

“Poison of the Midgard Serpent, deadly enough to kill a god without hitting them in the head.” Loki said backing off a little. “You don’t intend to use it on your own father, don’t you?”

“You aren’t my family. My only family is my mother, Hel and Fenrir, whose name you started to defame.” Jormungand was fuming, his scales started to appear.

“What kind of defaming are you talking about my dear so… I mean Jormungand.”

“DON’T PLAY DUMB! YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT!” Jormungand grabbed Loki by the collar and threw him across the room.

“Why did you plan on killing Frigg and Freya, and using Fenrir’s name!?”

“I HAVE nothing to do WITH IT!!” Loki spat back.

“Yes, you do! You are the one who can turn to Fenrir!!” Jormungand grabbed Loki again but the trickster god was fast. He kicked Jormungand in the abdominals.

“Ouch, what a hard abdomen.” Loki said while rubbing his feet. “If I have something to do with it, then what would I gain?”

“Why would I believe you!?”

Loki snarled. “Why don’t you believe me!? I haven’t even saw Fenrir!”

“Don’t talk shit to me! You slimy-”

“He is telling the truth.” A voice said.

“You, who are you!?” Jormungand said.

“I am Forseti, God of Justice, Peace and Truth. He hasn’t saw Fenrir. But he isn’t telling the the truth either.”

“What… then whO!?”

“I am prohibited by Lord Odin to say anything about the failed assassination”

“Then it isn’t fair!” Jormungand shouted.

“Yes it may be. But I am also the God of Peace. I will do anything to make peace last forever, to prevent Ragnarok.”

Jormungand walked away from Loki. “Where are you going, Jormungand?” Loki said.

“I just thought of it. You must have some help to at least know what Fenrir looks like and what he might look like today. Someone who didn’t get the facts correct!”

Up above, in the world of the Aesir, stands the culprit behind this mess. “Ah, Loki failed to do what he is told to, huh. Just as I thought.”
