Chapter 8: Wells of Yggdrasil
Alexander stood up from his sleep. He looked around for Aruka, who always seem to disappear. He entered the bathroom, and saw a black haired girl in her red hot lingerie that accentuates her big breasts.
“Hel?”
“PERVERT!” With that, several zombies dug their way in the bathroom.
Alexander ran outside and closed the door. “Oh no…” He looked down to see his soldier standing high from his shorts. He banged himself in the wall.
After a few minutes, a skull flew on Alex’s head.
“Ouch!” He rubbed it, and saw Hel in a black bathrobe.
His eyes drifted to long flawless porcelain legs. Hel noticed this and kicked her servant in the face. “STOP STARING!!”
“OOOOUUCCHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
“Geez, I didn’t know you were such a pervert! And I thought you are a gentleman.” Hel said while putting on her purple blouse and denim shorts.
“Huh, if you weren’t trying to- wait a sec, you’re trying to seduce me!” Alex argued.
“What did you say!?” Hel sucker punched Alex.
“Hmm…” Alex put his hand under his chin.
“What is it?” Hel said while drinking some strawberry milk.
“This.” Alex pointed to the pictures with the blurry women. Alex pointed to a nearly invisible root on one of the girls. She was standing in a circular building.
“The Root of Yggdrasil?” Hel asked.
“Igdra-what?”
“The World Tree.” Hel explained.
“Oh.” Alex went to the internet. The Well of Urd. “The Well of Urd. It waters the roots of Yggdrasil so it won’t rot. This girl… what is she doing there.”
“What’s the connection, servant?”
“Circular building. Well. Root.” Alex’s sapphire eyes looked straight to Hel’s purple ones.
After 7 seconds of staring. Hel punched Alex’s face.
“Ouch! Okay, the shape of the Well is circular right? And there’s a root. Urd is one of the three important norns. Together with Verdandi and Skuld.”
“You’re implying the goddesses of fate were behind this mess?” Hel said.
“Yes. Look at all these pictures. The circular buildings they stood on, the roots the surroundings. It’s like they’re standing on one building all along.” Alex said.
“You’re right…” Hel said.
“So? The idea is that it all happened near or on this hotel.” Alex said.
Alex and Hel walked to the circular building. For some reason, no other mortal sees it.
As they float on Hel’s dark cloud, they saw Angroboa, talking with a very beautiful woman with golden hair and blue eyes.
“You’re Angroboa right? Back when he was a child, my favorite torture material was crying for you. He said you’ll come and rescue him, Jormungand and Hel. But of course, frost people can’t enter Asgard. So he lost hope.” The woman said.
Hel could see her mother’s tears. Angroboa blasted a blizzard so strong that the building itself shook.
“Freya.” Hel snarled. She stepped forward but Alex stopped him. She punched him in the gut.
They floated in there too see that the building wasn’t a building it was the Well of Urd. Here in the center, Europe. They saw one of the roots extend to another well, with snow coming out of it.
“The Well of Niffleheim, located in Europe. The Well of Hvelgelmir, located in America and the Well of Mimir in Asia.” Hel said.
“Why, if it isn’t the almighty queen of the underworld.” Three voices said in unison.
The duo looked at the source. Three teenage girls. The one in the middle holding a crystal.
“Norn Sisters. Urd Verdandi and Skuld.” Hel said.
“Hel.” The one in the middle said.
“Alexander.” Alex grinned as he introduced himself, which earned him another sucker punch from Hel.
