[ Slow updates once again... My apologies. Sick and school, usual drill. ]
"Well, you can have it back." Sasori opens his palm, revealing the small crystal.
I had to remind myself not to flinch when reaching for it, yet I held in my breath until it possessed in my very own hand. I quickly looked around his room, immediately finding my original kimono cloak on his chair, which he must have placed there for me. "I have to leave," I say sternly as the weight on the bed lightens, I glide towards the chair; grabbing the folded piece of clothing with the pair of flats on top. "Bye, Kanna." I grinned before teleporting out of his space; appearing into my room that I rarely enter, my uniform gracefully swift around my fitted form.
Clutching the shard to my chest with both hands, 'I need to get out of here,' I'm panting, but I wasn't sure why. 'they're coming after me.' As I knew that for many years now, I knew that if they found me again, they won't only kill me; but destroy me.
Pulling my clutched hands to my forehead, my eyes that were full of fear, closed out the world around me; I began to whisper my usual praying, "Seikatsu, as weak as you are, I need an opportunity, I'm doing all I can to protect you, but I'm asking you; Protect me with a barrier, protect me with the strength of a bear, with the intelligence of the dragon. Free me, my goddess, free me like a butterfly."
I gasped as a strong hand clasped onto my shoulder, dragging me out to my reality senses, "Oi, where the fuck you've been?" My chest lightened up with happiness as I heard the familiarity in the voice behind me. I swiftly spun on my heel, throwing myself into his arms. "Hi-san!" A deep chuckle vibrated through his chest, along with an arm that embraces me into the feeling of safety. "You wouldn't believe what happened," I whispered into his chest, then leaning back to look up at his expression. Hidan did nothing but cocked an eyebrow, almost wanting me to continue but afraid of what awaits. "I almost killed Itachi," I stated, with a sly grin. "Almost? Why the hell didn't you just do it?!" He exclaimed, making me blurt out a small giggle.
The door slammed open, interrupting our united selves; it was Kisame. Hidan and I both stared in confusion, though I didn't blame Hidan for immediately wrapping his arm around my waist and pulling me into his chest. To tell the truth, I didn't want to leave his side again. Everytime I leave his side, I seem to have a life risking experience. "Leader calls for her." Kisame announced, studying Hidan's strong possessiveness over me. As I nodded in acknowledgment, Kisame left the room.
"Fuck that fucking bastard, you're not going anywhere!" Hidan declared, not being able to describe the feeling that has taken over him. "Hidan," I started, reaching for his cheek, "No, Jashin-dammit!" He spat in return, causing me to flinch back. There's not going to be a way for him to calm down, yet I sighed. Wanting another way to live my adventurous life; anyway without fearing of death chasing after me. Hidan's eyes dropped, seeing that sadness had taken over my usual motivating personality. Taking my hands into his, he lifted them lightly, not wanting to cause harm to me; though this wasn't like him, yet I didn't mind it. My left hand was placed on his pale cheek, as my right hand was being devoured with butterfly kisses. A soft grin spread across my face, ending me to grab both of his soft cheeks; pulling him down to my lips. Hidan smiled against my lips before returning the kiss, hugging my waist once more. I wish there was a way to thank this man before me, for somewhat taking care of me.
Hidan pulled back, "I'm going with you." I smiled, knowing that nothing would be able to talk him out of his own vivid plan. I linked my arms around his chest into a loving embrace, giggling as I teleported us to the door that awaits the office of the Akatsuki. "You must have been really bored with me gone, huh?" I joked, nudging my elbow into his rib. A bright shade of pink spread across his cheeks, "I was actually very highly entertained." He mutters, then a devious smirk appears on his face before he slams open the door. 'He plays so many games that I couldn't imagine, yet I'm not allowed to laugh.' I stared at the leader that sat behind the desk, with a uneasy expression. I don't think I'm ever going to be in his office again without Hidan by my side, but it's almost as if he's my goddess' sign of protection. 'Nah, that can't be.'
"You may enter." The leader, Pein, stated.
