"I killed my father." He replied.

My eyes widen as I stopped in midair; I couldn't comprehend what he told me. 'He killed his own father?' His father was the person who Naoki admired the most, he wanted to be just like his father; especially whenever he was little. 'Why did he kill his father? Why would he? Does he know what would happen after another leader is destroyed?' It doesn't stop the clan from its mission, they pass down crown to the next oldest member; which will be his uncle, who is more of a blood bather than any of them. I'm starting to think that he planned this so that it'll be a harder life for me, and an easier hunt for them. Naoki's father didn't put me in first priority, he put missions into each individual to get things done; which was creatively smart for building a clan's strength. Though, his uncle takes more of a personality from his grandmother; which is why Naoki's grandfather passed down leadership to his smarter child. Naoki's father was the current leader of their clan, but during the ambush, it was Naoki's grandfather.

I looked up as leaves rustled due to a harsher wind blow, 'Somebody's here.' I glare back at my rival. Immediately assuming that this was an ambush, and he was the distraction; I should have known better than to trust him for the slightest. Naoki widened his eyes at the movement of the rustle that occurred in the trees, then quickly dove against my waist. When I opened my eyes, I saw a new surrounding, we were behind rocks that were nearby our original location. Hearing nervous panting, I looked over to see Naoki holding on to the rocks, peering over; as if we're in hiding. "Naoki-kun?" He only shushed me by raising his index finger to his lips, he then looked back to our original spotting.

Shuffling closer to him, I then too, peered over the boulder. Only to see the ground smashed as if an earthquake suddenly happened, leaving me curious but then wanting to process what's happening. 'Why did Naoki save me?' Quickly glancing back to the spot that Naoki was in; only to see him to be gone. "Naoki?" I whispered, finally snapping back into my senses; I transferred all my chakra levels to expand past their normal senses. 'Shadow Cloak Justu,' Lowering my presence; to keep hidden. I stood, invisible to those around me; wanting to venture out what's hunting me down.

With a quick jump into the trees, I couldn't feel any nearby chakra lines. Fluttering my eyes shut, I focused on my inner chakra; inverting its challenges and power. As my eyes snap open, the sight before me inverted colors; allowing me to easily search what comes my way. The branch only moved as if only wind touched it as I jumped abroad, I begun to look for the man that saved my life and whomever relation of his that was after me.

My attention immediately latched onto two men fighting below me, which brought me to a stop on a nearby tree so I could cautiously watch. As I stared, it was definitely Naoki, he looked somewhat bruised up. The other man was his older brother, Tamaka. Naoki was holding his left arm with his right hand, as if harmed; Tamaka stared from above him, holding a burning cigarette that he soon drafted from. "T-Tamaka, please listen to yourself!" Naoki shouted in plea, gaining strength in his knees as he straightened himself up. 'Wish I could have gotten myself here sooner to catch the entire scene that happened here, darn.' I frowned, not surely giving myself into full trust of my childhood best friend; it could still be a trap, yet how far will he go into this with. Tamaka, with grace, blew smoke that then surrounded his lower face. "I'd advise you to listen to your own words before you say that to me," Tamaka begun, swiftly kicking Naoki in the face; knocking him to the ground a few feet back. "helping a bloodline that isn't going to support our plan, isn't what's ideal. Do you understand that, boy?" The older sibling questioned as he's closing the distance between the two, "I'd hate to fail our main mission as a clan, so I'd suggest you to get your head together, unless you want to end up like father." Tamaka warned, stopping in his tracks as Naoki looked up towards him.

"Don't act like you're the one who killed our father," Naoki glared, getting back to his feet.
