Daichi walked around the shop smiling at all the candy wanting to pick out a really big one that he thought would last forever, he ended up choosing some blue coloured candyfloss.
“Zu-Zu!” Daichi called out dragging Zuri round the shop, “I want that one”
Zuri’s eyes followed his outstretched finger and saw the candyfloss “Fine”
Daichi clapped his hands as he watched his sister give in and buy him the candyfloss.
“Mr. Hat! I want this as well” Zuri yelled out.
Urahara fanned himself “My, my Zuri, you’re going to get a sugar rush with all these sweets”
Zuri rolled her eyes “How much?”
“7000 yen” Urahara smiled waiting for the money.
Zuri saw that Ichigo was looking at something, she smirked and reached into the back pocket of his jeans and grabbed out all his money.
“This is too much” Urahara laughed.
“Hey…!” Ichigo spoke, noticing Zuri holding his wallet
“Take it all” Zuri smiled “I don’t need it”
“Hey!” Ichigo then yelled as he saw that his wallet was empty.
Zuri then left the shop leaving an annoyed and shock Ichigo behind, waiting for him to catch up, oh how she loved to see him stressed. Zuri laughed as Ichigo ran up to her and grabbed back his-now empty- wallet and shoving it back in his back pocket, glaring.
“What’s wrong, Strawberry?” Zuri asked innocently
“You spent all my money” Ichigo mumbled annoyed.
“But aren’t normal boyfriends meant to buy their girlfriends things?” Zuri mumbled sweetly.
“Yes, but normal girlfriends shouldn’t take their boyfriends money” Ichigo stated back smirking to himself.
Zuri stopped and inched her face closer to Ichigo “You forgot one thing”
Ichigo raised an eyebrow at her, mocking her.
“I’m” she inched closer “not” another inch “normal!”
Then Zuri ran off leaving Ichigo with Daichi. Ichigo looked down at Daichi-who had a snotty nose- and groaned, he never got on well with children, he knew that when he was with Nel, but when he saw Daichi he saw his little sisters in his eyes and instantly smiled.
Then Ichigo growled and looked up to see Zuri no-where in site. Running a hand down his face he placed Daichi on his shoulders and walked down the street looking for his childish girlfriend.
“Ichi?” Daichi started.
“Yeah?” Ichigo replied.
“You make Zu-Zu, so happy” Daichi mumbled yawning slightly “Whenever she’s smilin I know she’s tinkin bout chu”
Ichigo raised an eyebrow “Really?”
Daichi nodded “Yeah, she may deny it, but tis twue”
Both of them searched the town for Zuri, but she was no-where to be seen. That’s when they saw Inoue, Ichigo ran up to her with Daichi on his shoulders.
“Hello Kurosaki-kun” Inoue smiled, a light blush covering her cheeks, she noticed Daichi “Hello”
“Hi” Daichi replied rudely turning away from Inoue.
“Inoue, have you seen Shorty?” Ichigo asked
Inoue cocked her head to the side in thought “You mean Zuri?” he nodded “No I haven’t, sorry”
Ichigo nodded “Thanks anyway, if you see her, tell her that she’s dead when I find her”
Then Ichigo left Inoue’s sight in search for his girlfriend that left him with her little brother. Daichi started singing happily from his place on Ichigo’s shoulder. He didn’t mind that his sister was gone, he knew it was a normal thing she did. No-one knew he could understand but he knew that she would leave for weeks then return like nothing happened.
Ichigo stumbled upon the park and placed Daichi on the ground and watched him run around happily while he clicked his neck and gently massaged it. Ichigo sat on the bench and watched Daichi with small scowl on his face.
“Dai~chi!” Ichigo heard someone yell.
Ichigo looked up to see Zuri running over to Daichi, she seemed happy, it made Ichigo smile. He watched as Zuri played with Daichi running after him pretending to be a monster. He shook his head at her childish nature.
“Is that your wife and son?” an old lady smiled sitting next to Ichigo.
Ichigo shook his head and smiled “No, it’s my girlfriend and her little brother”
The old lady still smiled “You really love her don’t you?”
Ichigo’s eyes widened “Huh?”
“I see it in your eyes. I’ve been watching you since you came in the park, you’re eyes lit up and sparkled as soon as you saw her” the lady grinned.
Ichigo smiled warmly at her and then carried on watching Zuri play with Daichi. The old lady got up and left leaving Ichigo to smile at his girlfriend alone. Daichi and Zuri skipped over to Ichigo smiling and laughing with one another.
“Hey Strawberry~!” Zuri sang happily
Ichigo smiled then he glared at her “Where were you?”
Zuri giggled and tapped her nose “That’s for me to know and for you to never find out”
Ichigo groaned and tipped his head back so he was looking up at the sky. His brows creased as he saw a Hollow appear in the sky. Zuri looked up instantly placing Daichi on Ichigo’s lap, then she shoved ‘Callie’ her soul candy in her mouth and jumped into the sky.
The Hollow screeched and flew toward Zuri its large wings creating a huge gust of wind. The wind pushed Zuri backwards forcing her to hit the ground next to Ichigo. Ichigo stood up ready to help Zuri.
“Protect….Daichi” Zuri spoke before jumping up into the air again.
Ichigo clenched his jaw as he watched Zuri fight. Daichi remained unmoved as he played on the ground near Ichigo. Zuri tried to slice the Hollow’s mask but missed landing on the floor. A darkness inside her started to awaken as the fight progress and Zuri couldn’t land a hit.
“Call my name, Zuri” a voice whispered inside Zuri’s mind
