---With Ichigo---
Ichigo was pacing back and forth in Urahara’s shop, he was thinking of ways he could help Zuri, he wanted her to be able to control Demon Spirit, the darkness inside her and be able to use it for more power like he does with his Hollow.
“Mr. Hat, what exactly is Demon Spirit?” Ichigo yelled
Urahara started to fan himself “Demon Spirit?” he pondered for a moment “Is the Demon inside Zuri, that’s why Zuri has two Zanapakuto”
Everyone gasped
“What?!” Everyone yelled.
“Did you not know?” Urahara laughed “Well, her Zanpakuto has two sides, light and dark. Kiyoko is the light side, she’s the reason Zuri can heal, Kurai is the dark side, he’s why Zuri loves to fight and uses darkness as a power”
“What does this have to do with Demon Spirit?” Ichigo asked impatiently.
“Once they sealed Kurai and Kiyoko inside Zuri, they realised that she was too strong and not just anyone could tame them both, so they turned Zuri into a human, but for some reason the seal that turned her Human got mixed with a different seal and formed Demon Spirit” Urahara continued “They assumed it would be fine because at that point she was dormant, but as soon as Zuri got bit by that poisonous Hollow it made the seal weaken and forced Demon Spirit to come out of her dormant state”
No-one spoke for a few moments. They all just stared and repeated what Urahara just said in hopes of making the information they just received sink in.
“So Zuri is ….” Inoue mumbled
“They called her a Demon Shinigami” Yoruichi mumbled entering the room “She had all the points of a Shinigami, but she holds a greater evil inside her”
“Why do the Hollow’s called her Demon Spirit?” Rukia asked crossing her arms.
“When Demon Spirit first took over, she went on a rampage and just killed anyone, but all they would see is Demon-eyes, so they called her Demon Spirit” Yoruichi started “The Hollow’s know of her because she managed to escape and entered Hueco Mundo and created havoc there.”
Everyone’s mouths fell open as they were gaping at what Yoruichi just said.
“Does Zuri know?” Ichigo asked looking down at his hands.
No-one answered. Ichigo took that as an answer of saying she didn’t know.
“Why? Why doesn’t she know?” Ichigo then screamed.
“They feared that if she did, the power would awaken” Urahara muttered fanning himself once more.
Ichigo scratched the back of his neck “She has a right to know”
“I don’t want her to know” Yoruichi mumbled.
Urahara muttered “Too late”
They looked followed Urahara’s eyes to the window and saw that Zuri was crouching on the building listening to every word they spoke. Her eyes sparkled intently. Everything seemed so surreal. Before anyone had a chance to say anything Zuri disappeared in the breeze.
Ichigo ran out the building in attempt to see where she ran off but she was gone, no trace of her was left. Ichigo groaned and slammed his fist against the door and then shoved a soul candy in his mouth.
Searching for Zuri was his main priority now. He wanted to be there for her. Just like she was for him. Ichigo searched the town for Zuri. Finally he found her near the river sitting on the floor hugging her knees as she looked at her reflection in her water.
“Am I really a Demon Shinigami?” Zuri asked out loud.
Ichigo sat next to Zuri and looked at their reflections “No”
“I’m scared Demon Spirit will take over again” Zuri confessed hiding her face in her knees.
“She won’t, I promise, I will protect you until the day I die” Ichigo mumbled.
Zuri gasped and turned to face Ichigo “Strawberry…” then she smiled and hugged Ichigo hiding her face in his chest.
Ichigo smiled down at Zuri, he was going to be the one to protect her. Ichigo tightened his grip around Zuri and kissed her hair.
Soon Zuri’s breathing started to calm down, she looked out at the sun as her head rested on Ichigo’s head and his hands were behind his head supporting him.
Zuri smiled as she realised that Ichigo was right. She wasn’t a monster; she wouldn’t let Demon Spirit take over.
“Urahara wants to train you” Ichigo stated “As soon as possible”
Zuri nodded and stood up along with Ichigo, then they both headed off to Urahara’s hand-in-hand, once they arrived at Urahara. Zuri was took downstairs into the training area.
“Zuri, first we must get you to use up all of your reiatsu then we will try to control Demon Spirit” Urahara started.
Zuri nodded and grabbed hold of her Zanpakuto “Bankai!”
Her Zanpakuto nearly doubled in length and turned all black, as well as her clothes changing so she looked more like a warrior.
“Who’s my opponent?” Zuri asked smirking as she felt the power of Kurai swim through her body.
“That would be me” a voice spoke.
