LET US GO FORTH WITH FEAR AND COURAGE AND RAGE TO SAVE THE WORLD.
–GRACE PALEY

WITH A WAVE OF HER HANDS, the ground beneath the robots shot up and smashed them against the ground. She manipulated the rock to hit the robots, hitting them into buildings and onto the ground, while also protecting the civilians. Cara's hands shot up, fire shooting at out them and melting the robots.

More robots emerged from the ground, throwing cars and rubble. Cara continued destroying the robots, either ripping them apart using Wanda's powers or smashing rocks into their bodies. Screams of fear filled her ears and for a split second, her gaze turned elsewhere. Among the rubble was a man holding a small girl. His leg was caught under a car and the girl's tears repeatedly dripped down her cheeks. A robot advanced on the two and Cara waved her hand, creating a purple shield around them.

Her body flung into a building as a robot threw her, her concentration and the shield breaking. She let a groan as she fell on the floor; she had probably broken a rib or something. Cara glared at the robot that threw her and she manipulated the air around it to force it apart. With flick of the wrist, she forced the car to move up, releasing the man's leg.

Cara walked up to the man and slung his arm around her shoulders without a word, helping him and the girl up. She continued helping them across to find shelter, seeing Hawkeye multiple times helping other civilians. He gave her a quick nod before running off each time.

The ground below them started to shake and then shot up, almost making Cara and the man fall. His daughter clutched his good leg. The horizon started to change, the clouds getting closer. We're flying, Cara thought.

A fell voice filled the air. "Do you see? The beauty of it. The inevitability." Cara turned to see a robot floating in the air, Ultron's voice speaking through it. "You rise, only to fall. You, Avengers, you are my meteor, my swift and terrible sword and the earth will crack with the weight of your failure. Purge me from your computers, turn my own flesh against me. It means nothing. When the dust settles, the only thing living in this world will be metal."

Someone took the man from Cara and she advanced forward, shielding and helping civilians as they ran for shelter. Suddenly, a swift pair of arms picked her up and dashed off, leaving the men and women behind. She looked up, seeing the familiar silver blonde hair and playful blue eyes. She smiled at the Sokovian boy and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.

The two stopped in an alley, hearing the captain's voice speak on the comm. "Stark, you worry about bring down the city safely. The rest of us have one job: tear these things apart. You get hurt, hurt them back. You get killed... walk it off."

Pietro gasped for air and turned to Cara, "You ready for this?"

"Please," she smirked, "I've been ready. Let's go destroy these things." And with that, the two ran off.

Pietro ran forward, placing his sister on the floor before continuing to run into the robots. Wanda shot out her hands, throwing red hexes straight into the robots. Behind the twins, multiple police officers shot at the robots but failed. The police chief yelled, "Hold your fire!"

Unfortunately, one of the officers accidently fired, scratching Pietro's bicep. He stopped and gave a hard stare to the officer who nervously widened his eyes.

Their attention turned to see a steel gray wolf the size of a car stumble into the area, ripping off the limbs of a robot. The wolf turned to the Maximoffs and they realized it was Cara. They had never seen her turn into an animal before so this startled them. The English girl grinned (could wolves grin?) and dashed off, ripping off more robots' heads and limbs.

Cara phased back into human – thankfully with clothes on – and shot her hands out, purple hexes wrapping around a robots body before she ripped the thing in half. A deep voice was heard through the comm, "Glad you like the view, Romanoff." When did she get there? Cara wondered. "It's about to get better."

A large ship hovers into view, the thing fit to probably hold less than half a million people. It hovered a few feet higher than Sokovia, smaller ships starting to fly to the floating city.

Cara ran up to Pietro, clutching his hand as he spoke. "This is S.H.I.E.L.D.?"

The captain spoke. "This is what S.H.I.E.L.D.'s supposed to be."

"This is not so bad," Pietro smiled, wrapping an arm around Cara and kissing her on the temple before running off.

A/N: So this was probably terrible but like I said in the previous chapter, I'm not good at fight scenes :( sorry, guys.

Also, if I don't update sometime soon please know that my mom will have taken away both my phone and my laptop 'cause I currently have three C's so yeah. So please do not be alarmed. I WON'T BE DEAD! Sorry if this does happen again and if it does, I will cry. But I mean, I could be on drugs or smoking or an alcoholic or a slut; do they realize how lucky they are? I totally stole that from Girls.

I love you people and I hope your day goes amazingly! Bye guys!
