EPOV

I actually slept peacefully for the first time in ages. When the alarm clock went off I jumped up and went thru my work out routine. Showered and ate my breakfast. I turned to the clock and realized it was almost 10:30. I picked up the phone and called Amber.

“Hey beautiful”

“Good morning Dr. Emmett.”

“How did you know it was me?”

“One caller id. Two you're the only one that calls me beautiful.”

“Hahaha Good point. Whatcha doing?”

“Well Samson is tugging at my foot itchin to go out. And I thought it would be a good day for a long walk. Its gorgeous out side.”

“Well How about you meet me at the office at 11:30? I'll walk with you.”

“K. Sounds like a plan.”

“Can't wait. Bye.”

“Bye.”

APOV

I couldn't wait. I ran to my room and looked thru my closet. I found my favorite jeans (The comfortable vintage ripped up jeans) and a bright pink t shirt. I pulled my tennis shoes on and pulled my hair into a pony tail. I didn't want to get too dressed up for a walk. But I didn't want to look like a slob. I ran into the hall closet and pulled out Samson's brush and brushed him good. It took me all of about 30 minutes to change and brush the pampered pooch. I grabbed a pink bandana and tied it around Samson's neck and realized I still had time left I logged on to check my email. OH shit. An email from Jesse. What the hell did he want. He hasn't talked to me since he decided to marry my bff on our wedding day at our wedding.

Hey amber how is you life treating you? I seen your facebook page. You look the same. How is New York? Have you gotten married yet?

I deleted the email and logged off. I wasn't to let him ruin my day. I looked at my watch and realized I could leave now and maybe get there five minutes early if Samson didn't have to sniff everything.

“Let's go Samson.” I grabbed his leash and stuck my license and money with my keycard. I walked to Emmetts office and waved at people. People never cease to amaze me. Back home people never hesitated to wave and smile back when you threw up you hand. But here, never happens. I was still pondering this information when I ran smack into the hardest abs I ever felt. I looked up into Emmett's gorgeous eyes.

“Sorry”

“No problem Oh no a dog in pink give the man some dignity.”

“Hahahaha he happens to like pink thank you. By the way real men wear pink all the time.”

“If you say so. Let's go. Wanna walk with a man Samson?”

“Woof”

“I'll take that as a yes.”

“Where are we going?”

“You'll see.”

We walked and walked until we were in front of the R.C.C house.

“What are we doing here?”

“Surprise.” He laughed as we went inside. There was 2 of the most beautiful people I had ever seen.

“Uh hello.”

EPOV

“Amber meet my parents. Dr. Carlisle and Esme Cullen.”

“Hi. Its really nice to meet you.”

“It's nice to meet you. We have heard so much about you from Emmett. He says I need to see your house.”

“MOM!”

“It's ok. Yes you can see it when ever you chose. I could even take you over later if you want. Make everyone dinner.”

“We could never impose dear. My wife and I would love to take you two out for dinner. In fact the family is getting together tonight at Jasper and Alice's house. Emmett you should bring Amber along.”

“Would you like to join us?”

“Um sure. Would be great.”

I let Amber take mom and dad on a tour of the place. It was amazing to see how much passion she had for helping these kids. She knew all of them by name as we went past them. They all lit up when they seen her and Samson. After the walk thru I caught dad smiling and whispering to Mom.

“I think you are right son. There is a lot more we could do here. Amber how long have you volunteered here?”

“Three years sir. Why?” She was looking confused.

“Has this place always looked so run down?”

“Well its nice but yeah its always looked like this. I mean it's comfortable don't get me wrong but its all threadbare.”

“She's funny Emmett. Straightforward and funny. I like her.” I looked over at her and she was blushing. It was sexy as hell.

“Why do you want to know that for?”

“We kinda lost track of the place when we first opened it. I regret not coming out more often but ..well I really guess there isn't an excuse for it. We just never followed thru with it. It is supposed to be more about the kids than anything and we just paid to have the place opened and fixed up and people to work here to keep it running but looking around we failed miserably at what we intended to do. Where we planned the best we only half way done it. Look to see us more involved from here on out. Financially and physically.”

“My husband also says in his own way there. Thank you for caring about these kids so much. This is really what this house is all about.”

“Emmett says you plan on opening these places every where.”

“That is our goal.”

“Well Emmett we have some things we need to attend to before we head to meet the rest of the family. Nice to meet you Amber. Thank you again. See you guys later.”

“Bye. Nice to meet you Dr. Cullen. Mrs. Cullen.”

“Call me Esme dear.”

“BYE MOM!” mom proceeded to kiss me and they walked out. “Want to go for that walk now?”

“Your parents are nice. Dinner with your family?”

“You don't have to go if you don't want to.”

“I certainly would. Your mom and dad wouldn't let you hear the end of it. Want to go upstairs and play basketball?”

“You're on. Race ya?”

“GO.”

“NO fair chick you had a head start.” Samson just lumbered after her. I jogged up the stairs and followed her out onto the court. We played for a couple hours before I realized I needed to go home and get ready to go to dinner. “Hey sexy. We need to head out. We have an hour and a half before dinner. I don't know about you but I need a shower.”

“Yeah I need to shower now and figure out what I need to wear.”

“I'll walk you home”
