Her dress for the walima is attached somewhere, if someone wants to buy it for me, that'd be great ;)
Yusuf and I were given strict orders to stay away from each other till the nikah. Smart on their parts considering he always managed to sneak me off somewhere. The next day was the nikah which was good because all the guys were at the mosque all day and us girls at the bride's house.
I finally met Namra properly; yesterday in all the hellos she undoubtedly would've missed me. She was adorkable, it was the only way to describe her. Aamir was a quiet, nerdy type, so they made a cute couple.
We ate lunch with the guests and then it was time for the farewell. It was a long, gruelling process and highly emotional. Mannat and I left the house and waited by Ayaan bhai's car that we came in.
I blinked furiously to hold back the tears. "Why're you crying?"
I turned to see Yusuf walking towards us. "If someone sees you here, we'll never hear the end of it," I dabbed at my eyes.
"Nobody will see. What happened?" he asked again, watching me sniffle like a loser.
"I cry when I see other people cry. I can't help it," I let out a laugh as his expression changes from concern to confusion.
"Omar jiju's coming," Mannat said to him and instantly he turned and walked in the opposite direction from us. I looked towards the front of the house but no one was there.
"Just in case," she snickered.
"Sure, thanks," I snorted.

We got home before the groom and bride and so the doors were locked and the army was ready. Aamir was sucked dry by his sisters and sister-in-laws. I stood off to the side, talking to Mehnaz, Yusuf's older sister.
This was the first time I got to speak with her properly too, as the last time I saw her was my engagement and nothing makes sense then. She had two kids and the younger one was just like Yusuf apparently.
After the bride was welcomed inside, we sat her down in the big living room and we all sat around the room too. Guests came up to her and greeted her, welcomed her to the family, and introduced themselves.
Some of us girls were given the order to help finish the dinner set up so time flew by messing around with the girls while getting some work done.
After dinner we all sat around the living room again and watched Armaan and Ali welcome their new sister-in-law in the most embarrassing manner. The parents were all in the drawing room with some of the guests and thankfully Yusuf was there with his grandfather.
"Bhabhi," Ali came to sit beside me when Aamir told him to bugger off. I looked over at him but he kept his eyes forward as he whispered. "I have a early wedding gift for you."
"What?" I whispered back.
"Come to the rooftop at midnight," he said ominously before scooting over to his sister. I couldn't ask for any more detail so all I could do is wait till midnight and then let Navsheen drag me with Mannat to the roof.
When we got up there, I saw what the deal was. Most of the kids were up here smoking shisha. I walked over to Kismat bhabhi and sat down with her. She wasn't smoking anything.
"I can't," she muttered and then patted her tummy. My eyes went wide but she put a finger to her lips to keep quiet. I would celebrate with her later.
