Arabella probably would've reached Scaleswind sooner if she didn't find the boat.

As she was sailing the seas, eager to see her old friends, she was stopped by a peculiar sight. Aphmau's boat was docked on a small island. If she remembered correctly, this was the Crazy Cat Lady's domain. Maybe Aphmau, Laurance and Katelyn stopped to see if she was still alive.

Arabella stepped foot onto the island. Of course, feline creatures still roamed about the place. However, it was far less than there had been fifteen years ago.

This place seemed to be renewed and taken over by someone else, but it also felt oddly deserted.

The condition of the house seemed fairly good. Arabella knocked on the door. No response. Surely, it couldn't hurt if she barged in on her own if no one was inside, right?

Arabella did exactly that, and she was right. No one was inside. However, something else was (and no, it wasn't the cats).

Lying on the floor was a ripped up, beautifully sown dress. It reminded her of the dresses that Cadenza used to make. However, she didn't recognise it.

The next item, however, was hard to forget. It was a weapon of some sort--something you wear in your hands. Katelyn's Firefist. What was that doing here, and why was it taken off?

Arabella put two and two together when she found the next thing. Laurence's blue jacket was torn to shreds.

Somebody attacked them and was probably holding them hostage.

Arabella's grip on her battle-axe increased instinctively. She cautiously walked out of the house in case the perpetrator was still inside. She needed to find them fast. She walked around the island and carefully searched behind the house. There was nothing there except for a few cats.

Arabella started to panic. Where were they? Were they alright? From the looks of this mess, they probably weren't, and that worried her greatly.

She returned to the front of the island, utterly confused. She didn't know what to do, until she noticed something in the ground. Although cats stepped all over it, she noticed some sort of trail on it, as if something was dragged away. She also noticed some footprints that definitely weren't human. It looked like as if some massive cat had trampled all over it. A massive cat, or someone like Kawaii~Chan. What were they called, again? Meif'wa? That would make sense, considering this was the island of cats. The trails also led south-east. Arabella recalled hearing someone talk about the south-eastern wolf tribe.

From what she gathered from all of this, a Meif'wa kidnapped Aphmau, Laurance and Katelyn, and took them to the south-eastern wolf tribe.

Naturally, Arabella was about to head there, too. It might've been a suicide mission, but she had to save them.

She hopped onto her tiny boat once again and sailed to the wolf tribe as fast as possible. There was no plan in her head, and she didn't know what she'd do once she reached it, but one thing was certain: Arabella was going to save them.

Soon, Arabella reached land. In the distance, she noticed a ginormous castle. Yep, that was definitely the wolf tribe. Since when did tribes have castles, though?

She held her battle-axe tightly as she trotted through the place. She didn't want the werewolves to think that she was going to hurt them and therefore attack her, but she also didn't want to be defenceless against them. Who knows? They might try to kill her anyway.

As she neared the castle, she discovered dozens of guards surrounding the entire perimeter. There was no way she was going to simply go up to them and ask to enter. Arabella needed to find another way to sneak in.

She travelled behind the castle under the concealment of the trees. There didn't seem to be a way in from there, either. More guards gruffly stood at the back.

"Hmph," Arabella muttered to herself. She was about to risk it and go up to them before her eyes landed on the sewer gate. It was a reasonable distance away from the castle. If she was stealthy enough, she could get into it. As tedious as it would be, she had to do it for her friends.

Quietly, Arabella made her way to it and slowly uncovered the lid. The guards didn't seem to notice. Perfect. She quickly climbed down, and, oh, Irene, the stench of the drains. Her nose involuntarily scrunched up. This place smelled worse than the Chicken Shaman.

Nonetheless, she walked through the sewers until she reached a point where she could climb back up again. Hopefully, this led inside the castle where there was no one present. As she climbed up, she started hearing distant voices. This meant no one was around the sewer lid, but she was inside the castle. Cautiously, she lifted it up and peeked out to see if anyone was around. There was top security surrounding the castle, but absolutely none within it. Making sure no one was there, Arabella crawled out of it.

She was incredibly happy to breathe in fresh air again, even though it had only been minutes ago when she was outside of the castle. Deciding it was best if she laid low, she found a staircase and went up it until she reached the top floor. Arabella wasn't even sure if anyone ever stepped here. It was one of those floors for show and nothing was on it. Nonetheless, it was deserted, and that was all that mattered.

Arabella could hear the voices loud and clear. She was in some sort of balcony area, but it was a balcony to the main room at the lowest floor. She peeked to see what was going on, and was horrorstruck.

The first thing she noticed was the throne. Seated on it was none other than the King of the south-eastern wolf tribe in his human form. Surrounding him was presumably the Queen along with dozens of wolf guards. However, that wasn't what caught her eye.

In the center of the room was a Meif'wa with a devilish glint in her eyes. Beside her, with his hands bound behind his back, was Laurance.

Oh, Irene, Laurance.

For some reason, he had orange cat ears as well as a tail, but that didn't matter to Arabella. Laurance was here in the flesh. Arabella wanted to run up to him and kiss him on the spot, but she knew that was just wishful thinking. Still, Laurance was here. Arabella couldn't begin to describe how much she missed seeing him, but he was in trouble.

Laurance was in trouble, and Arabella had to save him.
