As soon as their boat was docked, most of them hurried to the platform. Aaron wasn't too keen to rush, which was expected.

Levin and Malachi had been waiting at the docks for their group. Levin seemed ecstatic to see his mother, but also confused when they came closer.

"Levin! Malachi!" Aphmau pulled them into a tight embrace.

"Mom, you're back! I..." Levin noticed the cat ears at last. "Wh--What's with the cat ears on you guys? Are those real?"

Aphmau scratched her ear. "Uh, it's a long story. We're basically cursed."

"Cursed? What the--" Levin seemed to be horrorstruck. He turned to his brother. "Malachi, go get Kawaii~Chan! She might be able to help. Hurry!" He turned back to Aphmau. "Don't worry, we'll figure out a way to get those things off!"

"It's quite alright, Levin," said Aphmau. "I'm pretty much used to it. I can't say the same for Laurance and Katelyn, though."

Laurance didn't seem too comfortable with his Meif'wa-ness. Katelyn looked like she was about to rip her cat ears and tail off.

"Really? Are you planning on staying like that? It just looks so... different." Levin shook it off. "In any case, we'll talk about that later. As long as you guys aren't in pain or anything like that, then I can rest easily. It looks like you guys have had quite the adventure. Come, let's get you guys settled and relaxed in the treehouse."

At that very moment, Dmitri popped out of the ship. Arabella had forgotten what had happened earlier that night, before Laurance came along.

"What? Dmitri!" exclaimed Aphmau. Arabella was trying hard not to grin. Laurance shot her a funny look.

"Haha, I'm here!" shouted the blue-haired boy.

"Oh, my Irene, Dmitri," started Aphmau angrily, "what are you doing here? Did you stowaway on the ship? Are you serious? Nicole is going to kill me. How did we not notice you on the--what?"

Dmitri started laughing at her frustration. "Pfft, Mom can't kill me if she doesn't know where I am! Plus, I've asked her so many times to come to Phoenix Drop. My Grandpa's stories of this place... how could I not come here? Heh, heh! Plus, I know you'll take care of me, right?"

"Stop looking at me like that," was Aphmau's only response to his puppy-dog eyes.

After a little bit more of convincing, she finally allowed him to stay for one day.

"Really?" Dmitri was ecstatic. "Thank you so much, Aphmeow!"

"It's Aphmau!" she retorted, but Dmitri wasn't listening.

At that moment, Kawaii~Chan and Nekoette reached the docks. Without warning, the Meif'wa nearly crushed Dmitri with a hug and started rambling about his adorableness.

"Aah! Crazy lady, let go of me! Help!" Dmitri was not having fun.

While they were having their ordeal, Arabella was laughing lightheartedly, until Levin pulled her aside.

"Explain." Levin had his grip on his sword, but he wasn't drawing it out yet.

"Has anyone ever told you about a guard called Arabella?" she asked.

"The one that died in Irene's Dimension?" Levin nodded. "Yes, but what does that have to do with anything?"

"Well, she's not really dead. She came back to her old village, and she found out what was happening. She didn't want to put anyone in a panic, so she pretended to be someone called Mona." Arabella seemed oddly calm about this situation.
