"Asmund is the leader of the Enki Warrior Tribe that is native to this island," continued Aphmau. "As I've explained before, there's no map that can lead us back on course or even back in the direction of Phoenix Drop. Asmund has suggested we seek the knowledge of the Demon Warlock, who is also a native to this island. I'll let Asmund take it from here."

After Aphmau finished her part, Asmund began speaking. "Aphmau and Laurance came to me, asking to relay any information I know of the Demon Warlock on this island. First off, this man is pure evil; he has been the burden of our tribe's existence for hundreds of years. Our people are at war with his minion imps, who take the form of those they've seen before."

"Well, that sounds dangerous." Katelyn shifted. "Tell me again why we're asking this guy for help if your tribe has been at war with him for hundreds of years?"

"He is a Demon Warlock," explained Asmund, "but he is still a man. He will accept items and knowledge of value as a bribe. I wouldn't have even suggested using him if this wasn't a possible option. However, I do not advise approaching him unarmed, but do not allow him to know you are armed, either." Katelyn remained silent as he continued. "Now, the issue you are going to have is finding him. My people have been all over this island, both on the surface and through the underground caverns; we have never been able to locate his base. The only way to draw him out is to wander this island by oneself, unaccompanied by anyone."

"What?" muttered Aphmau.

"Why is this?" inquired Aaron.

"He and his minions prey on those who are alone and only show up under such circumstances. I would advise having a rendezvous point where you all can run to, should you find him and are overwhelmed by his forces," suggested Asmund.

"This sounds like more trouble than it's worth," commented Laurance, shaking his head. "At this rate, we should just set sail and wander the seas."

Asmund let out a string of laughter. Laurance narrowed his eyebrows. "What's so funny?"

"The Lady Aphmau told me you were hit by the cursed Sea, were you not?" asked Asmund. "A sudden tornado out of nowhere?"

"Yes," mumbled Laurance.

"This cursed Sea is conjured by none other than the Demon Warlock himself. He has this weird spell cast on foreign seas we have yet to purify with our Shaman's magicks. This is to prevent foreigners from uncharted regions from leaving this island. He does such a thing in order to keep his presence the only threat to this region."

Once again, Aphmau said, "What?"

"How much of a threat is someone who needs to take this kind of precaution?" spat Katelyn. "He sounds like a weak coward to me."

"He is a weakling and a coward," explained Asmund, "but he is intelligent and conniving. Lass, you best not be trying to make our struggles seem like idle threats. We've been fighting this man for years."

Katelyn bit her lip, lingering on a moment of silence. "My sincerest apologies."

Asmund turned back to everyone else. "Now, I have given you all the information I know. You will not be able to leave this island until you find the proper route to navigate. If you sail into the cursed Sea without direction, you will only end up back here--unless you get lucky, of course, but that only happens to those who persistently sail the seas looking, such as our tribe does. Now, good luck. You'll need it."

On that note, Asmund walked out of the ship and left to his village.

"There he goes," muttered Aphmau. Laurance went up to her, and they started discussing about matters regarding the Demon Warlock.

Arabella sighed, turning away from them. She forced the Shadow Knight part of her to stop eavesdropping. To steer her mind elsewhere, she decided to talk to Katelyn, who seemed to be cursing herself under her breath.

"Hey, Katelyn, what's going on?" asked Arabella.

"I really need to learn how to keep my mouth shut," muttered Katelyn. "I really did make their problems seem trivial."

"It happens to everyone, and, yeah, it's no good," said Arabella. I can tell from personal experience.

At that moment, Aphmau returned to the deck, starting to speak with Katelyn, Aaron and Arabella. "Everyone, we have a plan, so listen up. Laurance, Aaron, Arabella and I will split up and roam about the forest, looking for the Demon Warlock. Katelyn, you stay here and look after Dmitri and Nekoette. Aaron, Arabella, you two are getting dog whistles. If either of you find the Demon Warlock, blow into it and try to run back to the ship. We'll all be armed, well... most of us," she finished, looking apologetically at Arabella. "I'm sorry, Arabella, but--"

"It's fine," said Arabella, although she clenched her jaw. "I get it."

For what it was worth, Aphmau did seem sorry. Having Arabella go unarmed was just a precaution to take, just in case she went haywire and attacked everything in sight. It was no one else's fault but hers. Like always.

"Are you all ready?" asked Aphmau as Laurance also came onto the ship, handing everyone the dog whistles and handing one to Arabella roughly.

"As ready as I'll ever be," she muttered under her breath.

Aphmau nodded. "Let's go!"

The four of them dashed into the forest, going into different directions, wondering what the unknown will bring them.

A/N: I have events planned up till Chapter 31 (another big chapter, muahaha), and I'll be doing the speed update soon, probably after updating Estranged once. No promises, though! I'm terrible with schedules.

Also, check out my new oneshot/novella, Kawaii~Chan's Quest for Love! That little book put me through a writer's block, but I'm glad about how it turned out.

I'm pretty excited to write about all the drama, heheheheheh...
