*My POV*
These past few months have been just awful. I've been so stressed out dealing with this whole college thing and my summer job of constant babysitting. Cal calls when he can but he is exhausted after shows and I'm always busy. We try to text throughout the day but time zones are a bitch. I was finally settling down from a busy day of babysitting. It was about 9:30 when my phone rang in my hand. I answered it before the second ring.
"Hey baby! How are you?" I said in a cheery tone to my lovely boyfriend on the other end of the call.
"Tired as fuck. We've had so many shows and I haven't been sleeping well. I miss you, princess." He huffed at the end of his rant.
"I know baby. I miss you too. Are the shows good though? Good crowds?" I asked hoping to turn his mood around.
"Yeah, they're great, but I always scan the crowd for your face and I get disappointed when I can't find you." He sounded so sad. My attempt to make him happy clearly wasn't working.
"Baby?" I asked quietly.
"Yes, princess?" He said noticing the concern in my voice.
"Where are you?" I asked conducting a plan.
"I'm on the bus with Ash, babe why?" He asked clearly confused.
"Can you go somewhere alone?" I'm sure he knew what I was getting at by now.
"Ohhh yeah, babe I can." He said then I heard some shuffling and speaking between the two boys that I couldn't understand. "I'm alone now, babe. Why did you want me alone?" I could hear the smirk on his face through his words.
"Facetime me." I said hanging up the phone directly after. My phone immediately started to ring. I knew he was excited for what he thought I had planned.
"Hi baby!" I said with a grin.
He scanned the screen and looked disappointed for a moment.
"I was expecting something else. You're a tease." He laughed.
"Sorry, baby. I just wanted you all to myself so we could talk. I really miss you, Cal." I said looking away from my phone. He let out a big sigh before speaking.
"Em, I know this is hard, but we can do it. I've only got a little while longer until I come back to my princess." He whispered in a sincere tone. He was right. We could do this. We loved each other more than anything. We were strong.
"I know, Calbaby. I love you. So much!" I giggled blowing him a kiss through facetime. He giggled back and blew me a kiss before speaking again.
"I love you, princess. How's everything going? With the college stuff?" He questioned.
"Well, I got accepted, and I'm getting a good amount of financial aid so I shouldn't have to pay too much. Thank god." I said noticing how annoyed I sounded talking about college. I didn't want to go. At least not right now. I wanted nothing more than to be on tour with Calum. He made me happy.
I was losing myself in my thoughts until I realized he began to speak.
"That's good baby. I know money is tight. Please let me know if I can help out in any way." He said sweetly.
"Cal I can't take your money that you work so hard for. You deserve to keep every cent you earn, baby." I insisted.
"I know, princess, but you're my girlfriend and I want to help you any way that I can. I would feel honored if I helped you achieve your dream." He smiled. He was so fucking cute.
"You will help me achieve my dream." I stated.
"How so, honey?" He asked confused.
"By staying by my side through all the stress of college. Your music helped me through high school, now you can help me through college." I said examining the image of his perfect face on the screen.
"Anything for my princess. Our music really helped you that much baby?" He asked blushing a little.
"I tell you this all the time, Cal. I think you like the ego boost." I laughed at the thought of him getting a big head over me liking his music prior to dating him.
"I know," he snickered "but every time you say how much you liked us, it brings me back to when we met." He beamed.
"Really babe? What were you thinking that day?" I asked. We never really discussed our meeting before.
"I was thinking you looked hot as hell in those jeans." He said very seriously.
"And we're back to the tight jeans. Is that all is was?" I questioned.
"Of course not, baby. Your make up looked hot too. And there was something about the way you were dancing around and singing without a care in the world. You looked so happy. And that is what attracted me to you." He was blushing at this point.
"I was scared to death when your security guard asked me to follow him, you know. I thought I did something wrong and he was throwing me out." I said sort of scolding him for scaring me.
"I'm sorry, baby. I just knew I had to meet you. Did you feel better when he lead you back stage?" He asked.
"Of course but then I got nervous because I was going to meet my idols." I stated making him smile.
"Yeah? And then how did you feel when I asked you to hang out that night?" He asked with a huge grin on his face.
"Of course I felt like I had a million butterflies in my belly. The most handsome boy in the whole world asked me to hang out with him." I beamed at him.
"Awh, baby. You're the sweetest. I wish I had kissed you before you left that night." He said looking away.
"You didn't wait long. We got ice cream the next day. You kissed me there. And invited me backstage that night too. You had me all to yourself like 3 days later. And I'm so glad you asked me to be yours. I couldn't imagine my life without you, Cal." I said smiling softly at him.
"I couldn't imagine life without you either, baby. I love you so much. I think everyone else just got back from Amanda's grandma's house. I'll talk to you later, okay? I love you." He said as I heard chatter in the background.
"I love you too, baby. Text me." I said slightly disappointed that he was leaving.
"You're the best, love." He blew me a kiss before hanging up.
Fuck this is harder than I thought.
