*My POV*
I woke up to the sound of my alarm playing Beside You like it did every morning. I sat straight up in bed. Today is my first ultrasound. My motions must have woken Calum because his eyes gently fluttered open. A smile spread across his face as he looked at me.
"We get to see him today!" He said excitedly sitting up and putting his hands on my exposed belly.
"Why are you so convinced he's a he?" I asked.
"I don't know. Just a feeling I guess." He said.
"Well, I hope your feeling is right. You know, we haven't even discussed names." I said turning to face him.
"What names do you like, princess? I really like the name Noah." He said and I smiled.
"You looked at my list, didn't you?" I said with a smirk, knowing the answer.
"Maybeeee..." He trailed off and smiled.
"Noah it is then. For our little man. But, what if he's not a little man? What if she's a little lady?" I said smiling.
"Well, I saw that you had the name Quinn on your list, and I absolutely love that name." He said.
"So you did look at my list!" I teased.
"Guilty." He smirked.
"Alright, so Noah Hood for a boy and Quinn Hood for a girl. Agreed?" I asked.
"Agreed, princess." He said pulling me in for a hug.
"Well, that was easy. Now its time to get dressed. Its time to hear the heartbeat of our bundle of joy!" I said excitedly.
"I can't wait, princess! Meet you in the car!" He said leaping out of bed throwing on a shirt, pulling on jeans and running down the stairs.
"Oh alright then." I laughed to myself as I got up and ready.

"This will be a little bit cold and then some slight pressure." The nurse said as she squeezed the gel onto my stomach. She moved the device around until she found what looked like a peanut.
*dundun dundun dundun*
"That's the heartbeat of your baby." She said smiling at Calum and I.
"There he is, princess. Our little baby." Calum said with a look of absolute wonder written across his face.

*Calum's POV*
The heartbeat grew louder and the image appeared on the screen. The joy overwhelmed all of my senses. Emily and I are actually going to have a baby! The nurse smiled at Emily and I and snapped the ultrasound pictures. She then cleaned up Emily's stomach and explained that she would be back in a minute.
"That's our baby, Cal. I can't believe we are actually going to be parents." She whispered pulling my body closer to hers.
"Here we are. Baby Hood's first photos." The nurse said as she returned to the room. She handed both Emily and I a photo.
"I have the perfect spot for this." I said and Emily looked up at me.
"Where, baby?" She asked sweetly.
"My new blue bass. She needs some decoration." I said with a smile.
"Mine's going right here." She said removing her clear phone case and placing the perfectly sized photo inside so that it could be seen whenever anyone looked at the back of her phone.
"Perfect placement, princess." I said kissing the top of her head. "You know we are going to be the best parents ever, right?"
"I sure hope so." She breathed as we gathered our things and left the office. "That reminds me. We need to discuss some things about the baby." She said as we walked to the car. I grabbed her hand.
"What's on your mind, princess?" I asked.
"Well, first of all, where are we going to raise the baby?" She asked.
"I would love to raise him here. You live in such a lovely place." I said after a moment of thought.
"Well, would you still want to live with my mom? She offered to move downstairs so we could have the master bedroom and turn my room into the nursery. Or we could get our own place, but with school and everything I don't really have much money." She said frantically. I could tell she was stressing herself out.
"Princess, calm down. I have no problem living with your mom. You know I love her." I said grabbing her thigh and rubbing small circles to calm her nerves.
"Okay, good. Check on living arrangements." She said letting out a deep breath. "Next, are we doing God parents?" She asked looking at me as I came to a stop at a red light.
"I think we should. Do you?" I asked.
"I think so. My God parents are some of my favorite people." She said.
"Alright, so who then?" I asked.
"Well, for the God mother, I was thinking Amanda. She's my best friend, and you know she's going to love this baby with all her heart. Not to mention she's responsible. I know she has her bad days, but she doesn't let it stop her from fulfilling her responsibilities." She said as if defending her choice.
"I was going to say Amanda too. The only other person I would consider would be my sister, but she's not here and her lifestyle doesn't exactly fit. So, Amanda it is. Now, for the God father. It has to be one of the boys. The most responsible." I thought out loud.
"Well, that rules out Michael." She giggled.
"You're right. How about Luke?" I asked.
"Imagine Luke changing a diaper." She said sarcastically.
"Yeah. Never mind. That leaves Ashton." I said.
"Ashton is responsible and good with kids. Its like the perfect fit." She said with a smile.
"God parents, check." I said and Emily giggled.
"Don't make fun of my check list!" She said as we pulled up to her house.
"I'm sorry, princess. What's next on the list?" I asked as we got out of the car.
"Amanda wants to throw me a gender reveal party. I have my appointment to find out the sex on July 12th. You leave for tour soon, but I'm coming to the concert on the 16th.  You're going to have to wait until then to find out the sex. I want to be able to tell you in person." She said then flopped on the couch.
"Ugh! I don't want to wait that long!" I groaned.
"I'm only finding out one day before you. Calm yourself." She said.
"Okay fine. I'll wait an extra day. I'm announcing it at the concert though. The fans need to know." I said.
"Deal. Wait until then and you can announce it to the world. They need to know sometime." She smiled.
"Some fans are going to be happy, and some aren't. Promise me you won't let anything get to you." I said looking into her eyes.
"I promise, baby. I don't have Twitter or Tumblr anymore, so I won't even see it." She said. She was always really great with not letting hate messages or nasty tweets get to her.
"I love you, and our little nugget so much. Never forget that." I said kissing her forehead.
"I love you too, baby. I won't forget it." She said. "Now," she started again with a smile on her face, "nursery theme! I have two ideas in mind." She said excitedly.
"I bet you $10, I could guess both of them off the top of my head right now." I said confidently.
"You're on." She said shaking my hand to seal the bet.
"Elephants, and Harry Potter." I spat out quickly.
"Fuck." She said pulling a $10 out of her pocket and extending her arm toward me.
"Thank you!" I said snatching the bill. "Oh, and my vote is on elephants." I said with a smile.
"Nursery theme, check. That's all the things on my list for now, love. Food then a nap?" She said with the cutest puppy dog eyes ever. The hormones are really making her tired.
"Anything for you, princess." I said grabbing the keys to go get her favorite sandwich.

*****
When I walked back into the house, I saw Emily asleep on the couch. She looks so beautiful when she sleeps. I put her sandwich in the fridge and returned back to the living room. I scooped her up gently and carried her upstairs. I laid her down and snuggled into bed next to her.
"I love you, princess." I whispered into her hair.
"I love you too." She said before falling back to sleep completely. This is my happy place.
