Chapter 1

"Damn it. This is so stupid,". Dylan muttered. "We shouldn't be out here this long!". "Don't worry! I will take all the blame!" Ashton heroically replied. "That's what you said the last time!" I groaned. "I hecked care. Dylan was in the hospital for a month!" Aunty Tammie was going to kill us if we were not back by six.

That was Dylan's mum. She looks sweet but let me warn you, she can pack quite a punch, literally. But Ashton wanted to have look at the scenery before going back. "Be quick!" I shouted. He climbed up on the house's roof. I looked around uncertainly. Suddenly, a gigantic flock of birds flew above and past us.

They flapped and squaked loudly, like they we afraid of something. The air around me rustled and grew cold. "Ashton!! We have to go soon!" Dylan shouted above the wind. Suddenly,

the ground started shaking. An earthquake? In Singapore?? That was in impossible! "We got to go now!" I screamed. But Ashton just stood frozen staring into the distance, eyes wide and mouth opened. What the heck was his problem? He had seen the sunset a million times before.

Dylan thought the same thing. He quickly climbed up the roof and grabbed Ashton. "What is..." Suddenly, he froze too. He stared in the same direction as Ashton. I scrambled up the roof and my jaw dropped.

Dinosaurs. Real. Life. Dinosaurs! Not just any dinosaur but the paralititan! A huge long-necked dinosaur that weighed more than 60 tons in weight! But...how was this possible? Dinosaurs had be extinct for millions of years.

Suddenly, I remembered a news article I had read. What was his name...? Oh yes! Professor Owen. He had only claimed that he had invented time travel just a few days ago. Nobody had believed him. These dinosaurs must be his proof! I laughed. Never in my life had I believed that I would see my dream animals. Dylan shouted and pointed as several hadrosaurus ran past. It was amazing.

Several people already started taking photographs and a reporter van had arrived. Suddenly, a roar shattered the tranquility. All eyes, dinosaur and human, turned. A 30-foot carnivore exploded out of the trees. A torvosaur?! But why would the professor release a meat-eater into human settlements? As I watched the torvosaur opened its mouth and crunched up a gasping passerby. I closed my eyes as I heard bones shatter. It charged after the van and knocked it down before letting out a triumph roar. Something was seriously wrong.
