The Dead Alive

~~~~Livi's POV~~~~

"WAKE UP!!"

Those are the first words Alan, Livi, and Java hear. "THEY'RE HERE!!"

Now all three are scrambling to get on their feet. "WHAT IS IT?!" Java screams, terrified. None of them even know who's screaming at them because they aren't having time to adjust to being awake.

Livi's eyes are the first to adjust. It's Dylan. There's something unusual about his face now, though. Livi recognizes his facial expression as a look of sheer terror. Livi immediately knows something is wrong.

"JUST COME WITH ME!" Dylan screams as a reply to Java. He leads them down to the main entrance. Everybody's eyes go wide as they see the real life horror movie before them.

The door is torn down allowing all of the zombies to flow in and tear apart every other living creature within the building. Everyone looks left and right. All anyone can see is people being ripped into pieces by the things. Java curses under his breath.

"LIVI, ALAN! YOU TAKE THE LEFT SIDE! I'LL TAKE THE RIGHT SIDE! DYLAN! GO GET MORE PEOPLE AND MAKE SURE THEY'RE EQUIPPED WITH GUNS FOR ALL OF US!" Java screams.

Everybody goes where Java tells them to, except Livi. "YOU CAN'T TAKE THEM BY YOURSELF!" she screams. "I'LL BE FINE! DON'T WORRY!" Java replies. Livi gives up on trying to convince Java to stop. She knows he's going to hurt himself, but she knew there was no convincing him to stop going. She hesitates as she runs towards Alan, knife in hand.

In the middle of fighting the horde, Dylan comes back with five other survivors. All of them are heavily equipped with pistols. Livi catches the eye of one boy who is equipped with all sorts of machine guns and two pistol holders in both of his pockets. He wears sunglasses and looks a lot like The Terminator without half of his face as a cyborg.

Everyone runs to Dylan and grabs a pistol. They begin to shoot at the zombies.

More zombies file in.

The horde is becoming too large to kill. "EVERYONE FOLLOW ME TO THE BACK EXIT!" Dylan shouts.

"WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER PEOPLE?!" Livi screams.

"FORGET THEM! THEY'RE ALL DEAD!"

Livi's eyes begin to water as she runs towards Dylan.

A few seconds later, Java stops, turns around, and shoots at the horde. He kills multiple zombies. They start to close in on him. "DAKOTA!" Livi screams. She always calls Java by his real name when she's scared or worried. "I'LL BE FINE!" Java shouts back.

"NO! THEY'RE CLOSING IN ON YOU!"

Java slowly begins to back away. Livi runs towards Java. He's very far back because she didn't notice when he first stopped until she heard the gunshots. Livi begins to run back towards the group since Java is coming back.

The zombies are able to touch Java now. One grabs a hold on Java's hand but Java shoots its hand and it lets go. But as he did so, he managed to shoot the palm of his hand as well. He drops his gun and screams out in pain. Livi turns around and sees Java. She shouts his name as she runs towards him.

Another zombie grabs a hold of the same wrist that Java shot, but this time, it sinks its teeth straight into Java's wrist. Java screams even louder as he kicks the zombie away. He holds his wrist and runs towards Livi. They meet in the middle and quickly turn and start heading toward the rest of the group.

Once they make it, Dylan closes a gate and traps the horde on the other side.

Dylan takes a look at the bite wound. "We're going to need to amputate it," Dylan says. Livi's face goes white when Dylan finishes. "WELL HURRY UP AND DO IT!" Java shouts.
