Memory

Chapter 1:

Nicole, Antonina, Elena and I were having a sleepover at Nicole's house. Her house is perfect because its so cozy. Nicole said it was made in 1820, everything here is so miniature like the short steps on the stairs and the low door knobs. Her house is a bit creepy though, she said she often hears footsteps and giggles; one night she saw a girl in her photo and I had to text her for the rest of the night until she fell asleep because she was scared. Although its creepy at times nothing ever really happens, at least when I'm there.

"Nicole can you make some buttery popcorn?" Elena asked.

"Yea sure, what do you want to drink?"

Antonina and Elena both said arizona ice tea.
"Can I just have some-" I was cut off when I heard a creek from up the stairs, I looked around the corner and saw a shadow.

"Alyssa what do you want?" Nicole asked again.

"Oh sorry, I'll have some water please" That shadow was probably just her cat.

Me and Antonina went upstairs while Elena went to the living room to pick a movie for us to watch. As we were walking up the stairs I remembered how I saw the shadow, when we got to the top of the stairs I looked to the left of me as we turned right, there was nothing there. I grabbed my blanket and turned around to see Antonina facing me.

"Ant? You good?" I asked her but it took her a second to respond.

"Yea, just thinking. I have to tell you guys something but I'll tell you when we get back downstairs."

I nodded my head and we continued to grab our things.

As we were walking back down, i heard breathing coming from the vent. I looked inside and saw nothing but darkness, I decided to ignore it and kept walking. We walked into the living room, Elena and Nicole already sitting down on the couch. Elena picked three scary movies for us to pick from and we chose See No Evil.

"Wait guys theres something I want to say" Antonina began but before she could finish, Nicole's father came in. He was telling us how he was going to sleep, but then he started talking for like 20 minutes about the most strangest things.

We finally started the movie and everything was great, but during the movie I started to doze off. I wondered what would happen if i were to disappear and never come back.

Yes I have my best friends here but there was something missing. Yes I have a loving boyfriend but I wanted more. Yes I have a pretty decent live but I wanted something more.. exciting? I dont mean to sound needy but everyone wants something, I just dont know what I want yet.

It was around 1 o'clock and non of us were tired so we decided to tell scary stories. Nicole started telling us a story of The Hammer which basically was about a guy with nails in his head. After a while of stories, they started to fall asleep so I was alone with my thoughts. I started to remember how I met these girls in elementary school which brought me to a memory of a girl.

A girl who had dark hair and grey eyes, she was always so mysterious. She didnt go to our school but I always saw her there, I didnt even know her name. She was very interesting but I always kept my distance. She wore the same clothes everyday and stayed in the library, some kids were afraid of her. I wonder what happened to her.
