Today was my last day at home, tomorrow I was leaving for England. Chris suggested that I'd stay with my parents until the evening, he said he had plans for us.
"How are you feeling?" My dad asked out of a sudden.
"I'm good, why?"
"You're shaking your legs."
"Yeah and it disturbs me so." Cory said.
"Shut up." I say to Cory.
After lunch I went outside and sat down giving my back to the tree. Cory came and stood next to me,lighting a cigarette.
"Did you started smoking again?" I ask disappointed.
"I never stopped so technically no I didn't started smoking 'again'"
"Wow you're so edgy and cool damn." I say sarcastically.
"Stop mocking me, you know I'd quit if I could."
"Yeah whatever." I'm not going to have this conversation. He never listens.
"Kathy, you know I'd quit."
"No I don't know. You have to get your shit together. Look I don't want to sound rude but you're not a kid anymore, you finished college 2 years ago,don't you think it's time to get a job and actually progress in life? You can't continue on living with mom and dad. You're an adult now, act like one." I felt terrible but this had to be said. His face went pale, he's embarrassed and a little angry.
"Wow. I didn't thought you would grow up to be this mean." He said.
"I'm not mean, the truth is mean." I say, he's going to get mad.
"At least I didn't sleep with my teacher to pass from a class." How dare he?
"Is this how you act like an adult?" I got up to leave, I don't want to get in a fight before I leave. I went upstairs, checked my phone to see if I got any texts. I had one from Chris.
-Babe, be ready in 2 hours I'll come pick you up oh and dress fancy. Love you. /Chris
Gahh I'm smiling again. Ok now focus on the main problem Katherine, what to wear? I immediately FaceTimed Phoebe.
"Yo."
"Hey, so I don't know what to wear, Chris' going to take me out he said dress fancy. What about something classy?"
"Hmm good idea what about that silver dress?"
"Isn't it a little bit too shiny?"
"Right, what about the knee-length red one?"
"Too red."
"There isn't anything such as 'too red' go with that."
"But it's not comfortable."
"Ugh, what about the long sleeved black one? It hugs your curves perfectly."
"Ooh I totally forgot about that!! That's perfect."
"Pair it with dark red lipstick and a golden necklace, you're done."
"Awesome, what about the hair? Wavy or straight?"
"Definitely wavy."
"Shoes? Flats or heels?"
"Katherine you dumb af, of course heels. Duh duh."
"Ok sorry." We both laughed. Phoebe is really helpful with these stuff.
