Chapter Four | The Game

The next morning I woke up kinda stressed. I still don't think I decided to the right thing.

I dressed quickly, put my hair in a ponytail and walked to school. I usually walk, the school is not even that far.

I had Math for first period, at least I'm going to start the day goodly.

I sat to my spot which was the desk that was right in front of the teachers desk. I scanned the classroom and realized Cindy and Mindy were taking Math too.

"Good morning class, guess what?" He said while putting his files and a bunch of paper on his desk. I know what this means.

"Pop quizz!!" He said throwing his hands in the air.

"Yayy." I said. What? It's my guilty pleasure. Taking tests. And I actually did studied for this so...

"Noooo." Phoebe said and gave me a look. Oops.

As we were about to start I hear Cindy and Mindy whispering to each other. I can hear them because they sit right behind me.

"Omg I told you we should've studied!" Said Mindy.

"Whatever we will just look from Cahong Lee, he's smart right?" Said Cindy.

"See that's racist." I said turning around. They are so ignorant it's sad.

"Whatever." They both said at the same time.

I couldn't really focus on the test because of Cindy's stupid questions.

"I don't get it." Cindy whined. Mr. Renner walked to her desk.

"What exactly?"

"Like, how does 8x7 and 7x8 equal the same thing? Is there some kind of dark magic going over there? I like really don't understand." She said. I couldn't help but giggle a bit. Mr. Renner sighed and went back to his desk without answering.

"Umm rude." Said Mindy.

The quiz was pretty easy if you ask me, but I don't think I'll get a good mark, I usually have a lot of calculating mistakes.

I was putting my stuff to my locker, I got distracted when Phoebe poked me on the shoulder.

"Sooo, have you decided?" She asked excited.

"I did, but I feel like there's lots of stuff that we didn't think through."

"Like what?"

"If I'm going to do this with Tom, he has to know the truth, I don't want to mess with his feelings."

"NO! You can't tell him!"

"Why?"

"That's against the rules."

"What rules are you talking about Phoebes?" I asked her.

"Uh, I don't know yet, it'll be awkward that's for sure." She said.

"We know each other since 5th grade, it won't be." I said. We walked to the cafeteria. Liam didn't came to school today, Jennifer had a class so it was just me,Tom and Phoebe.

"Hey, do you have a bobby pin?" Said Phoebe to Tom.

"Yeah let me check, oh wait I don't because I'm NOT a six year old girl." He said sarcastically.

"Then why do you throw like one?" I asked him.

"Haha funny." He said and punched me playfully. I laughed.

Phoebe was making me weird faces implying that I should open the subject. I really don't know how to start.

"Tom I need to ask a favor." I bursted. I'm a very straightforward person. Phoebe was whispering 'THAT'S NOT HOW YOU START IT' I ignored her.
