Stiles pov:
"A blackout party in the middle of the woods? Like that isn't suspicious." I mumble as I park the jeep in a large crowd of cars, the music already pounding through my head.

Lydia rolls her eyes. "You'll be fine, just stay with me." She assures. We both get out of the car and Lydia jogs over to my side. I take in a nervous deep breath as Lydia takes my hand in hers.
"You'll be fine." She repeats. She nods her head in the direction of the party and I sigh before we start walking.

"Uh... I'm sorry but was there a no shirt policy?" I ask upon arriving at the center of the chaos. It literally was in the middle of the woods, a small clearing amongst the crowded trees where someone was playing loud music out of their open car. Glow sticks hug from trees, black lights placed on top of coolers and neon painted bodies.

Lydia laughs before dragging me through the crowd of dancing bodies towards the car playing music. She says hello to sweaty bodies as we pace, never once letting go of my hand. We arrive at the front and I immediately see the only other people I know in this town.

"Hey! You brought Stiles!" Allison exclaims, wrapping me in a hug. When she lets go of me, I notice she doesn't have a shirt on, along with the crowd, her torso painted in neon swirls.
"It's not like he was doing anything." Lydia remarks. I roll my eyes and Scott gives me a little bro shake, his chest also bare and painted.

"There was definitely some sort of no shirt policy." I point out.
"If you're complaining, there's always the option to actually take your shirt off." Lydia jokes. I shrug, taking the hem of my shirt between my fingers and lifting it over my shoulders.

"What happened to shy Stiles?" Scott laughs and I do too, tucking my shirt into the loop of my belt.
"Paintings over there if you wanted to..." Allison points to the corner and I thank her, guiding Lydia over to a small table filled with neon body paints and paint brushes.

I open a tub of blue paint, glancing over at Lydia to see her staring at my bare torso and I chuckle.
"The views nice isn't it." I smirk. Lydia blinks rapidly, moving her gaze from me.
"So you're like some confident, cocky guy now?" She scoffs.
"I mean... I guess. I don't know." I mumble. Lydia rolls her eyes.

I grab a brush and hand it to her along with the jar of blue paint and she takes them without hesitation. I watch as she paints an elaborate tree from the edge of my jeans all the way up and along my shoulders. She then takes a green paint, brushing large bands down the length of my arms.

"Nice tree." I chuckle and Lydia rolls her eyes. "Your turn?" I ask, grabbing the brush from her but she shakes her head.
"No thank you!" She grins, walking off into the crowd.
"Wha...okay then..." I say to myself before jogging after her.

I push through the crowds of people, finding my way back to the front where Lydia converses with Scott and Allison.
"Well don't you look good." Allison comments and I scratch the back of my neck awkwardly.

There's a light tap on my shoulder and I turn around to see a very beautiful blonde haired girl, smiling.
"Dance with me?" She asks, grabbing my hand and dragging me into the crowd before I can actually respond. She stops in the middle of a group of people, swaying slightly to the music.

"I'm Heather." She smiles. You can do this. It's just your name.
"Stiles." I grin back, congratulating myself a little. I grab her hand, holding it over her head and she twirls a little. We continue to dance a little and out of pure habit I guess, I start to search a little for Lydia. She's leaning against the music car, talking to some guy covered in green body paint.

I don't know what it was. Jealousy maybe? But I didn't want him talking to her. I turn back to Heather, stopping her sways by placing my hands on her shoulders.
"I-I'll talk to you later." I stutter, starting to walk off but she grabs my wrist. She pulls out a sharpie from her back pocket, writing down her number on my arm and I smile. She says to text her later and I agree before taking off into the sea of bodies.

"Stiles! You're just in time." Lydia exclaims when I reach her, green-body-boy no where in sight.
"In time for what?" I ask.
"We throw this party every year and at the end we do a traditional paired up game of hide and seek in the woods." She explains quickly.

"This year, you're my partner. Put your shirt back on, it'll be harder for them to see you." She says, handing me my shirt from out of my belt. I quickly put it back on. I notice Scott standing on top of the car, a microphone in his hand and he whistles rather loudly to get the attention of everyone.

"PARTNER UP! Allison and I are the seekers this year along with: Ethan, Danny, Aiden, Heather, Isaac, and Erica! Counting to fifty like always, GO HIDE!" Scott announces. Lydia quickly grabs my hand dragging me along into the dark forest in a hurried walk.

"I've never been found before." Lydia states, turning to me slightly. She seems to know exactly where we're going and for a second the thought of murder crosses my brain.
"Want to know why?" She asks and I shrug. "Same spot, every year and they never find me or my partner." She grins, particularly proud of herself.

"50!!!!" We hear Scott, still over the microphone and Lydia tenses.
"In here!" She drags me into the hollowed out trunk of a large oak tree. We both could barely fit in it, our bodies pressed tightly together as our breaths mixed. The sound of crunching leaves tells us that our searchers passed us by but we both stay put.

"I think they're gone." I whisper, starting to move but Lydia grabs my shirt, pulling me back into the tree.
"Nu-uh Stilinski. I've played this game before they're still there." She whispers back, her view looking out to the forest. I lick my lips, looking down to where her hand still clutches my shirt and she seems to notice because she lets go.

Our eyes meet and there's a mere second of hesitation before she sets her lips on mine. My hand instinctively goes to cup her cheek as we melt into each other. But she pulls away, shortening it and staring to the ground.
"Sorry." She gulps once we separate and I nod before peaking out of the tree to see if it's clear to leave.

But it wasn't. So now we stood awkwardly, my mind still wrapped around the feeling of her lips on mine. I take a deep breath.
"Maybe we could just..." I mutter, trailing off.
"Yeah." She whispers, nodding. She doesn't hesitate on putting her lips back on mine, my hand once again flocking to her cheek as this kiss lasted longer than the first.
