Alfie is with Zoe. Louise is with Phil. And I'm with Dan. The boys are going to go first, so we lay out all the foundations and blushes and lipsticks and mascaras that we have (including the ones from Dan and Phil's blindfolded makeup challenge).
The camera is on, and Dan looks apprehensive as Louise counts down.

   "3,2,1, go!"

Dan looks stunned as he stares at the pile of makeup. "Where do I begin?" He yells, and I stifle a giggle as he picks up some of Louise's very expensive MAC foundation. Very expensive, I hasten to add. "Perfect base," he reads.
Dan unscrews the cap and pours tons of the stuff into his hands, the cream liquid somehow getting everywhere. He curses, and starts to apply some of it onto my face, trying to be very gentle. There is way too much foundation on my face, and Dan picks up a powder brush and tries to blend it in. There is still liquid running down my neck, as Dan picks up a contour set.

"Contour, what the hell is that?"
He settles on for the eyes. Using his fingers, he rubs it in, all the while terrified that he's going to gouge out my eyes.
"Dan, you're not going to kill me!" I exclaim, in fits of laughter as he rolls on mascara, getting it all on my eyelids. "Oh bugger," Dan mutters as he steps back and looks at my face.
"Dan, what have you done?" I say slowly, watching Alfie and Phil rolling around in laughter, as they too finish. Louise looks petrified as she hands the mirrors to us girls, and I try not to collapse with laughter when I see what Dan has done to my face-
Foundation that is way too dark for my skin is smeared on carelessly, it seems, with no obvious blending; mascara is smeared everywhere that is within fifteen centimetres of my eyes; red eyeshadow that Dan must have thought was blusher is on my cheeks, a long Crimson line with no blending.
"Right, we're going to make you beautiful now!" Zoe says, and I hear "oh god" muttered from three male mouths.

Using the right brush, I blend a foundation that matches Dan's skin onto his face, while he tries not to laugh. "Dan, stop moving!" I say, as I start to work on giving him a smokey eye look - but that's not going to happen if Dan doesn't stop craning his head around too see how Zoe and Louise are getting on.
I manage to give him a small flick of eyeliner, and then it comes to the mascara.
"Please be careful," Dan begs, clearly fearing for his life. I giggle, and tell him to open his eyes.
"Open them? Are you crazy?"
"Just do it!" I say, impersonating Shea LeBouf, and Dan reluctantly opens his eyes, and I have to grab his head to stop him flinching away from the mascara wand.

Finally, Zoe and Louise are done, and we show the boys our work. Dan looks... Pretty good. I smile as he laughs at his bright red lips, and exaggerated eyes.
"Let's take a group selfie!" Louise exclaims, and we all crowd round, pulling stupid faces as she lifts her phone and snaps a picture. Instantly, the photo is on Instagram. I decide to take a photo of my parents together, and post it on Instagram.
"They had their makeup done; such beauties" the caption reads, and Dan laughs and pulls me and Phil into a group hug.
