Merlin began to hum a tune that had been stuck in his head for the last for days but it was starting to get on Arthur's nerves.
"Can you be quiet" Arthur said but Merlin kept humming. "Now."
"Ok" Merlin said and he stopped. He wrote some more words on his paper but couldn't think of anything else to write. While he was thinking, he began to tap his fingers on the desk to the same tune. Arthur stopped writing and looked over at Merlin.
"Sorry" Merlin said and he stopped tapping. A few minutes later he continued and Arthur held his breath. Then he slapped his hand down onto Merlin's and glared at him. Merlin's fingers were crushed against the table. "What, I can't help it" Merlin said.
"Try" Arthur replied. They stared at each other for a few seconds until Merlin finally sighed and looked away.
"Whatever" Merlin said. Then Arthur realised his hand was still on top of his and he quickly moved it back to his side. Merlin shifted in his chair uncomfortably.
