He turned his head and was abruptly hit by a paw from the creature beside him, which was still hiding in a hedge. The hit flung Merlin into the air and he landed harshly on the cold ground. Mordred looked up and saw the creature towering over Merlin. He charged at it and with all of his strength he blasted his powers at it, knocking it off his feet. His eyes were fierce and he was ready for his next attack.
