Chapter 20

Once we get there Nash pays for my drink, even though I told him, I could pay for myself.

We sat down at a table. "I heard what you told Sky" Nash said.

"Why were you listening" I asked.

"She's been asking for you everyday, and I don't know what to tell her. I was wondering what you were say" Nash explained. He had this feeling in his eyes. Almost worry.

"I told her what she needs to hear" I stated.

"Like what you have claimed to tell me." Nash wondered.

"Nash, I told you the truth. Whether you want to believe it or not, that's your problem." I shrugged.

"Ry. We're meant to be together." Nash begged.

"You know. You say that now, but as time goes by, you'll realize how wrong you are. Then you'll leave. Spare me some time and just leave now" I declared.

"Why do you keep saying that? Who hurt you?" Nash exclaimed.

"Why do you care?" I shot back.

"Because they broke this girl, I have a lot of feelings for and I intend on putting her back together" Nash answered.

"You can't fix me when I'm not broken. You can't change who I am." My voice cracked.

"You're not the ordinary girl from your little fairytale" Nash whispered. "You're special."

Nash got closer to me. He placed one strand of hair behind my ear. And suddenly I forgot everything. I forgot what we were talking about. I forgot about everything.

In that moment it was just me and Nash. It was like my brain just stopped working for a moment and my heart was working for it.

Nash lean in and I did too. Our lips clashed once again. It felt so good. Out of nowhere my brain started working again.

I detached my lips from Nash's and stormed out of Starbucks with my drink and Penny Board.

I heard lots of calls from Nash. And when it finally got to me, I stopped and faced Nash.

"What Nash? What are you going to tell me? We should be together?" I asked. "Nash! I'm bad for you. This thing between us, isn't healthy!"

"Why not?" He asked.

"Nash, when was the last time you made a vine? A YouTube video?" I breathed out. He looked down. "Ever since, I came to town, you stopped making content for your fans. I noticed. Cam noticed. The rest noticed. Hayes noticed. For goodness sakes, Even Sky noticed, Nash!"

"But that's not your fault. Thats mine" Nash replied.

"You say that but I don't believe it. I'm pretty sure, deep down, you don't even believe it either ." I started to cry. He looked guilty. "That's what I mean."

I turned around and was ready to leave until... "What now, Ryder?"

"I'll disappear. You'll never see me again. I'll stay as far away from you as much as possible." My voice cracked. "You on the other hand, you need to go back to making your fans happy. You need to appreciate your family. You need to go back to doing whatever you did do, when I was gone. You need to forget about me. Pretend I was never here. Pretend everything was just a beautiful dream. And at the snap of a finger, you wake up. Tell Sky and Hayes I love them and I'm sorry. Have a good life, Nash Grier. I'm proud to have been a part of it."
