I heard people talking. But I can't clearly understand.
"Yes. She's about to wake up soon.."
"Yes, don't worry she's gonna be okay..."
I tried to open my eyes. There were a lot of people wearing scrubs. Where am I? Oh. Yes. This looks like a hospital.
"Scar?" Someone said
"Mmm.." I managed
"It's okay, you're okay. You were in a car accident, you hit your head and broke some bones but you're gonna be fine."
I was in an accident? I tried to remember. The last thing I know is driving out of Portland.

I simply nod. I can't process all this all at once. I scanned the room and saw Mom sleeping on the couch. My head hurts. The more I try to remember what happened, the more it hurts. After a few minutes, I fell asleep again.

I woke up with the voice of my Mom.
"Scarlet. The doctor said that you need to help yourself. You can go home anytime now if you're feeling better."
"How long have I been out?"



"Three months."
