A/N: Hey there! So yes, this is a new story I'm writing but don't worry! Don't mind the tags or anything, I saw that somewhere you should also put some random tags to get your story out there more. So no, there aren't any vampires if you were hoping for some, and if you weren't then enjoy! Read it, Learn it, Love it.

"You're what?!" My best friend since middle school, Cassie, screamed.

"Shh! Keep your voice down," I looked around the cafeteria to see if she had attracted any unwanted attention. "like I said a hundred times before, I'm moving. Say it with me, mooving." I said slowly and laughed a little.

"Stop!" She huffed and crossed her arms. "Stop laughing! If this is some kind of sick joke just stop already! This isn't in any way the least bit funny!" She said.

"What's not funny?" My boyfriend, Austin, asked as he sat down next to me.

"Like you don't know." Cassie mumbled.

"Know what? I probably don't." He said and she rolled her eyes,

"Oh, it's nothing really. Sophia's only moving to a whole other country, that's all!"

"I'll still be on the same continent, jeez! You make it seem like I'm moving from Toronto to China! I'm only moving from Toronto to Seattle! Washington is right on the border of Canada!" I said, more so trying to cheer myself up than them.

"Yeah, the freaking west side of Canada! Why couldn't your mom get a book store in New York or something?! This fucking sucks!" She yelled and got up and ran out of the lunch room.

"You're moving?" Austin asked and I sighed.

"Yep."

"Why didn't you tell me this sooner?"

"Uhh, I just found out last night! My dad literally walked in my room and said, 'Do your homework, feed the cat, and uh, oh yeah, we're moving to Washington in a month so start packing!' Came out of nowhere!" I tried to explain without breaking down like Cassie.

"I wish I knew like a week sooner."

"Okay, seriously? Why does it matter when I told you guys? The point is, I'm moving and we have a month left together, so let's make the best of it." I smiled and tried to kiss him but he moved away.

"Last week Kelsey asked me if I wanted to give our relationship another try."

"So? You broke up with her in ninth grade, we're juniors now, why are you even entertaining her stupid questions? I'm your girl now, remember?" I asked and he just shrugged.

"Not for long. You'll be in a whole other country, remember?"

"What are you saying?"

"I'm just saying..maybe this is like a..sign or something. You're moving and Kelsey just so happen to ask me if we could get back together. Maybe that means...me and you shouldn't-"

"Oh bullshit, Austin! I know damn well you still want to be with her! Don't try to beat around the fucking bush! If you want to be with her, you want to be with her, no damn signs anywhere!" I said and stormed out the lunch room, eyes jabbing deep into my back along with a knife.

"Attention passengers, at this time, please buckle your seat belts. We will be landing in Seattle, Washington in fifteen minutes." The pilot's voice boomed over the intercom.

"Fifteen minutes till the gates of hell." I mumbled.

"Oh, you're awake?" I heard my mother's voice and turned up my iPod.

Of course I turned it up as Hello Seattle by Owl City came on. I grunted and snatched out my earphones.

I groaned and lifted the shade on the window then sighed when I saw the Space Needle. I rolled my eyes and quickly shut the shade and looked at my mom.

"Why are we doing this again?" I asked.

"Your father's job's headquarters are in Seattle and  I can finally pursue my dream and open up my own bookstore! And I hear that there some really good law schools in California. So when you're away at law school, you'll still be close enough to visit every weekend!" She said and clasped her hands together with a smile.

Oy vey.

"Well, what about what I want?" I asked.

"Uh, law school. Duh." She said with a smile.

"But mom!" I whined.

"Sophia-Rose Penelope Thompson! Never whine! Women demand what they want, do-"

"Dogs whine. I know, I know. I just want to at least feel like I have a say in what goes on in my life. I feel like no one ever listens to me."

"And could you take this pillow back? I won't be needing it any longer. Thank you. Okay, what were you saying, darling? I wasn't listening."

"I rest my case."

"Sounding like a lawyer already!" She said and kissed my cheek.

Sophia-Rose Penelope Thompson. Popular, attractive, smart, super funny, outgoing, straight forward, happy, but dying on the inside, sixteen year old girl. Only child of a business broker and former lawyer/future bookstore owner. Lived in Toronto since birth, moving to Seattle to die. Future lawyer but wants to be a music teacher. Used to have a boatload of friends but now only has one,  Zax the cat. Happiness and sanity status: currently hanging from a string.

"Attention, passengers. We have just landed in Seattle, Washington. Please make sure to get all luggage. Hope you enjoyed the flight and thank you for flying with Delta-American Airlines."

Depression, I'm ready. Depression, I'm ready.
